While sorting through my wardrobe, I came across a failed piece from years ago. Back then, I thought it was absolutely dreadful — but looking at it now, I actually find it rather interesting. So, I picked up my tools, and reworked the cut and stitching on the original pattern. It's still far from perfect, yet at least it's become something I'd stop to look at in a shop window. The stitches may be rough and uneven, but they're also the clearest kind of honesty. They've also become a testament to the time I've spent on this, from my early clumsy attempts to what it is today... I suppose it's very much the same with people. We look back after a few years, and sometimes, we find new answers to the problems that once troubled us years ago. What about you? Have you made any similar discoveries lately? Though they say we should always look forward, slowing down for memories every now and then isn't such a bad thing, I think. | |
