When you have the Lumenstone Adjuvant equipped, it will provide illumination if it contains energy. Perhaps the stone relies on a unique ley line environment, however, and as such, only works within The Underground Mines of The Chasm.

Certain special devices and creatures such as Lumenlamps and Lucklight Flies can be used to replenish the Lumenstone Adjuvant's energies.
