Oath of Judah

Oath of Judah is a signature weapon used by Theresa Apokalypse. Its power allows the users to restrain the Houkai power of any target at the cost of requiring at least 10 well-trained fighters to use them together.

In Schicksal's old history record, there is a rumor that only 1 person is capable of lifting it.

Oath of Judah (German: Eid von Judas) was an exclusive weapon for the battle against Houkai, used by Theresa Apokalypse. At the ceremony of Theresa's succession to the new Patriarch of Apokalypse, Otto personally awarded it. Although it maintains its original appearance, the interior has been modernized and renovated and adopted more advanced technology, making it a cutting-edge weapon with powerful combat capabilities. So far, this weapon full of historical vicissitudes has been given more meaning, and it even symbolizes the ideals and glory of the entire Schicksal organization.

The history of the Judah Oath needs to be traced back to 1473 AD. At that time, Judas's Oath was developed and used on the battlefield as a heavy restraint trial weapon against the Houkai beast. However, due to the extremely difficult production process and use, only one weapon was made. It is rumored that only one soldier had the power to lift it, and when the soldier died, Oath of Judah was recovered and sealed in the depths of destiny and immersed in the dust of history.

Retrospective

Used by Theresa Apokalypse, it has been used many times in the training of Kiana, Mei and Bronya. It is the Theresa's exclusive weapon.

In the chapter 20 of the Retrospective storyline, Theresa tried to use Oath of Judah to restrain God Kiana, but due to the disparity in power, Theresa was defeated and Oath of Judah was destroyed.

Fire Moth DLC

Theresa still carries the severely damaged Oath of Judah after the final battle. Although most of it is destroyed, the internal storage mechanism can still be used and there are remaining intact war spears for combat. After Himeko left the city to protect the crowd and died fighting with the Third Herrscher, the broken Oath of Judah and Sword of Corona were inserted in Himeko's cemetery as the tombstone.

Oath of Judah is Kallen Kaslana's exclusive restraint weapon against the Houkai beasts. The cross is 1.98 meters in height, 0.93 meters in width, and 152 kg in weight. For monsters that mutated due to the Houkai energy, there was no means to destroy them in 1473. In Kallen's anti-Houkai organization, Schicksal, a large number of restraint weapons were designed to imprison the Houkai beasts produced by the Black Death in the underground of the cathedral. Even at a depth of 500 meters underground, the priests can still hear the calls of these undead monsters in the middle of the night.

To restrain Houkai beasts between 10 meters and 30 meters in size, almost all restraint weapons are huge and heavy, requiring at least 10 well-trained fighters to use them together. Only the Oath of Judas was originally designed to be used by one person.

However, with the weight of 152 kilograms, even in the Kaslana family, the only person of this generation who only capable of lifting it is Kallen. The overly gorgeous appearance, the heraldic shield in the center of the cross, and the family crest of Kaslana on the shield make this weapon more like a gift from the designer Otto to Kallen.

In battle, Kallen will nail the cross into the ground. The weight of 152 kg, combined with the iron pile at the bottom of the cross, once nailed into the ground, will become an unshakable torture frame. After pulling the bracket, the two ends of the cross will open, revealing 12 spears. The tip of each spear is made of high-purity obsidian.

In the long struggle, the scholars of the Schicksal Organization discovered that around the high-purity obsidian, the Houkai can not easily gather. After being nailed into the body by a spear, even the most powerful Houkai Beast could not break free. The tail of each spear is connected to the cross with a heavy iron chain. Once the 12 spears are nailed into the body, the Houkai beast will be unable to move even one step.

The name "Eid von Judas" comes from the ancient legend of the Schicksal. In the doctrine of the Schicksal Organization, God has been creating various disasters to destroy mankind. Monsters, diseases, and floods are all part of the disaster. The most terrible disaster occurred in the first year of the AD. The name of the disaster is - Son of God. God sent his son to the earth, and the Son of God showed the power of mankind and transformed into wine and bread. From then on, mankind can live happily without suffering anymore. The ancestors of the Schicksal Organization realized that if this continues, human civilization will stand still and will only end in the end. Under the leadership of someone, people raised the flag against God and tied the Son of God to the cross, once again demonstrating the rebellion of mankind. As the strongest restraining weapon against the Houkai beast, the name "Eid von Judas" should be the most suitable.

Story

In the main story of Houkai Gakuen EX chapter, Kallen Kaslana nailed the demon fox with Oath of Judah, and used the hidden spear to fight against Yae Sakura. In the end, Kallen, who was seriously injured, was recovered along with Judas's oath.

After Kallen was executed, Oath of Judah was sealed, and Theresa was awarded by the hand of Otto and became a symbol of the Schicksal Organization. After modernization, the original iron chain used to connect the obsidian spear has been changed to a more refined thin film material made of obsidian, which is filled with energy to form a high-toughness and high-flexibility energy whip. Guided flying blade can be used for various purposes.

Other purposes

• Due to its heavy weight, the Oath itself can be used as a melee weapon.
• In Fire Moth DLC, it can also be used as a floating vehicle (although it floating capability is weakened due to being broken).

Trivia

• This weapon's spears are not destroyed after being deployed, players can take advantage of this special mechanic to bypass the Deploy Limit. Attempting to deploy another suitcase before the current one landed (usually due to too much Attack Speed) will destroy the last suitcase including the spears.
