Raiden Mei (Retrospective boss)

Raiden Mei is the first boss encountered by the player.

Encounters

She is encountered in the last level of stage 3–6. She can also be fought as a weekly boss, when beaten, she drops the Super EM set.

Attacks

Raiden Mei has 4 attacks.

Scratch

When in close range, Mei will use her left hand to claw the player. This can be avoid easily by go behind her once you get in range. She will do this once before begin any of her other attack if player stay within her attack range.

Sticky Magic Cannon

When the player is in front of Mei, she will charge up and shoot a fast-travelling electric ball that damages and stun the player. Can easily dodge by move up or down. She will only use this attack if player is in straight line of her.

Electro Ball

At regular interval, Mei will charge up and release a big, slow-moving electric ball. The ball travels on its own and will bounce of the walls. After a while the ball will disappear. If the player get cornered by the ball it can deal very heavy damage. Only one ball can be on the field at a time. Its slow movement make dodging extremely easy if action is taken in caution.

Thunder Storm

White circles appear on the ground randomly and lightning will strike in those circles after a short time. Mei will remain stationary while she is using this attack. Since it is hard to completely dodge every lightning in this attack. Better prepare something to get you recover from this attack.

Tactics

Since the player have to move continuously to avoid her attack, rifles, pistol and Sniper rifles are not recommended. Weapons that can deal large damage in a single shot while still allow you to move such as shotgun, grenade, rocket launcher are recommended. Deploying weapons only work when Mei is using Thunder Storm and can be quickly destroyed by the lightnings.

One should know that Stun is CC effect, so effect of skill like QuickEscape and clothing like Soul of Persephone can reduce stun time, giving more desirable outcome in case if something went wrong. But its still down any hold to attack weapon, if you got hit be sure to tap to attack again.

Like all boss, she is high in health, especially in Weekly Boss event. So it's recommended to take some melee weapon just in case if you can't deal enough damage for her ammo box drop partway. Something like MS-F1 Axe is good if you have high damaging gun. For other, use high damage melee weapon is considering a bad idea if it not have damaging effect such as Fenrir-Tusk's Viper'sBite effect. Or high damage effect such as SpiritBlade-SnowSakura.
