Chapter IX — EX-1/EX-1

Following a Honkai leak in Arc City two weeks prior, Otto tasks Rita with tracking down the Herrscher of the Void, whose presence was hinted at in video recordings. The key to finding her lies with an intel dealer known as "Gray Serpent," who has been monitoring the city's network data. Rita is also aware that defectors from the Far East Branch, possibly supported by Anti-Entropy, are in the city, likely seeking the same valuable information.

Upon arriving in the seemingly peaceful Arc City, Rita confronts and dispatches Gray Serpent's bodyguards before attempting to negotiate with him for the Herrscher's location. Gray Serpent, however, refuses to be intimidated, valuing his professional code over his life. This rejection forces Rita's hand, and she eliminates him, though his final words suggest a deeper conspiracy at play.
