Chapter XX/20-4

Kiana and Bronya talked to one another; showing remorse for Fu Hua as she had experienced such experiences before. Their interaction quickly ended and the two went around looking for one of the feathers again.

They then saw that the feather was sealed, to which they first thought of seeking assistance from the lady, but Kiana grew vigilant toward her. The two went back to search for Lin Zhaoyu, informing her about the sealed feather, Lin Zhaoyu bluntly stated how these feathers have been unable to locate by several people for thousands of years, yet the feathers had been retrieved once they arrived.

The two girls responded with silence, and Lin Zhaoyu shook off her words and told them to pay no mind to it. Lin Zhaoyu held the feather, then pushing it towards Kiana as she entered another memory. The memory took place in the MOTH Base, revealing Kevin Kaslana walking with Fu Hua who was in her Shadow Knight battlesuit. Kevin informed Hua that Dr. MEI will be transferring her to the Far East due to the MANTIS force being disbanded, Hua replying with no care about being transferred to the Far East, showing her determination to eliminate the Honkai no matter what or where she was in.

Kevin confronted Hua about her still being in an angry state. Hua stated how Kevin continued on wanting Hua to understand MEI, and how she didn't even try to understand the Captain. Hua stood her ground, telling Kevin to cease to ask Hua to understand her, as she doesn't need her understanding.

Their walk continued in silence as they arrived at an intersection, stating their goodbyes as they walked the opposite corridors. Afterwards, Kiana and Bronya started to piece some things together, coming up with the conclusion that the memory was taking place during the Previous Era.
