Chapter XX/20-5

Kiana and Bronya speaks to Lin Zhaoyu and informs her about the memory of Master Phoenix's life from a really long time ago. They explain that in the memory, Phoenix was in a war against the Honkai. Lin Zhaoyu reveals that in Shenzhou, the Honkai is called Zhenqi Essence or the Yaoqi Corruption.. their school had one rule, that was to give no mercy for the corrupted.

As their conversation ended, the two girls found another feather. There was a voice desperately calling out for Phoenix to wake up, and as she already probably guessed she had passed out. According to Nuwa and Fuxi, it was for the third time that week. Nuwa tells her to get more sleep, but Phoenix refused at first but gave in soon enough.

After that, Phoenix went and fought more Honkai Beasts but gets another headache during that. Phoenix describes it as a 'massive swelling, a sudden, painful flood of memories'. Suddenly a massive Honkai Beast headed their way, Phoenix defeated it and the three went back to Mount Taixuan. Phoenix chatted with Fuxi, and reminiscing about her past when she was just a normal, scared little girl. During Phoenix's sleep, she overhears Fuxi and Nuwa talking, they talked about something to do with Dr. MEI and how things are happenings just as expected, and that Phoenix was developing identity disorders and rejecting memory rearrangements. Nuwa says something about a 'next phase', but Fuxi refuses to initiate it.
