Captain, it's been a while. How is everyone on Hyperion?
The chill at the end of spring is almost gone, and the weather has become a lot clearer. When I was strolling by the river earlier, I saw the willows gently dancing in the breeze along the bank, and it suddenly occurred to me that you had said the willow is a tree full of life - planting its branches into the ground and it will thrive even in foreign soil. I was just amazed back then, but seeing it now instantly gave me a sense of its tenacity and persistence.
It's been hectic lately. Initially, I wanted to keep my birthday simple this year to save everyone the trouble, so I never expected the great surprise. The birthday cake that you sent me, the video of everyone's warm blessings, and all those presents... for me, these are all precious memories.
I've sent a wishing plaque that I made with this letter. Please write your wishes on it, just like how we did it every birthday when we shared the cake and made wishes together. I heard that a wish written on a wishing plaque together will come true soon.

Life is so peaceful and time flies. If it were not for the reminder from father and friends, I would have forgotten my birthday this year. So, I think I'd better live a life with more interactions with others, right?
Since the vacation began, father often climbed the mountain with me. We just wanted to see the blossoms in time, and we made salted sakura that we both love. It actually only takes several days for the green buds to to bloom into a soft pink, but I still thought it was too slow when I was young. I would climb up the mountain with my father only when sakura petals danced in the air. But now, for me, I'm eager to see blossoms every time I climb up the mountain. If I can pick a fresh flower, it will be much more interesting than waiting for someone to pick it for me. Captain, you must know what I'm talking about.
Weather forecast says tonight will be peaceful without any rain or strong winds. It will be a good time for tea tasting. We haven't met up for a long while. If you have time, will you visit my home? You can try the salted sakura I just made. If you like it, you can take a few jars with you. Don't worry about any shortage. I've made a lot of them at the beginning. So I can gift some of them to friends, and I will have enough left to enjoy by myself for a whole month.
As I'm writing this letter birds are singing outside the windows. Their singing is nothing different from before, but I understand what they mean. Captain, do you think those birds are also looking forward to the party tonight?

Rice Cake let the birthday surprise slip, turning it into a planned birthday party instead. Father and Mr. Siegfried also joined in. The last time things were this lively was during the Spring Festival. At the end of the day, Kiana, Rice Cake, and I picked some flowers and put them in tea bags. They smell wonderful, and I'm very pleased with them. This is for you. I hope it can help balance out the sweetness of the cake.
