The School of Taixuan was a former martial artist school run by Fu Hua—known at the time as "the Immortal Phoenix" or "the Celestial Empyrean"—with only seven disciples, training them to become expert anti-Honkai fighters.

After Fu Hua's assassination at the hands of her seven disciples, several of her disciples took students of their own or started martial arts schools of their own, passing on the techniques that she taught them. Her eldest disciple, Lin Zhaoyu, founded the Taixuan Sect, which rapidly became renowned as one of the "Six Great Sects". Su Mei also founded a sect of her own called the House of Myrmidons. Cheng Lingshuang, Fu Hua's most talented disciple and the only one to achieve Blade Eminence, took Li Sushang, the daughter of her fellow disciple Qin Suyi, as her sole student.^[1]
