Not much is currently known about the Afterglow Swarm King and what role they played in The Swarm. Their off-spring are known as the Afterglow Stings, and the Afterglow Swarm King possessed direct communication with them.^[1]

The Afterglow Swarm King was active during the Swarm Disaster, and in one incident killed a group of bounty hunters who had repurposed Afterglow Stings into forms of communication.^[2]
