Familiar Figure: Of course I'm real... Are you here to take a photo... Wait! A Nameless!?

Familiar Figure: Stop stop, stop! Hold it right there! Keep your distance! Listen up, I've got three rules: First, no insulting the character! Second, no attacking the cosplayers!! Third, no indirect attacks either!!!

Familiar Figure: Nod if you get it, or don't blame me for pulling the report card. We can hash it out at the Security Bureau!

Caenis (Alt): What do you think? How on earth could I be the real Caenis? Never mind, I'll just take that as a compliment... You can call me "Caenis (Alt)."

Caenis (Alt): Ugh, don't even ask... Let's just say my cosplay skills are a little too convincing. You can call me "Caenis (Alt)."

Caenis (Alt): Ahem, anyway, as long as you're not here to "serve justice," we're good... Don't blame me for being touchy, okay? After all, anyone who goes around here as the Nameless is basically a total protagonist fan. See? I'm still not dry yet...

Caenis (Alt): Just now, some Anaxagorabbit squirted water in my face with a gun and bolted... cackling like a maniac as he ran, shouting something about "I have deciphered the truth of this world!" And a bunch of soaking wet "Aglazy" were chasing after him...

One more nail in the coffin for Anaxa's public image...

Caenis (Alt): Oh, you probably don't know how viral his "say what's on your mind with no filter" sticker has become.

Aren't you even mad about that?

Caenis (Alt): If it were anyone else, I'd have chased them down and given them a piece of my mind, but of all things, that guy was cosplaying Anaxagorabbit... Ugh, I can't even blame him for ruining the character!

Caenis (Alt): Not to mention that "Painon" hot on my heels, apologizing profusely while shoving freebies at me left and right... What am I supposed to say to that? *sigh* A manic green rabbit, a scheming blue-black-and-white goose, and those evil candy bombs...

Caenis (Alt): Anyway, although I guess you could call that a part of the convention, I'm NOT looking to go through that again anytime soon. So, little Nameless, interactive photo ops are welcome, personal attacks are not, understand?

Caenis (Alt): As our honored guest, you naturally deserve a warm welcome... but the Council of Elders is always swamped with business, so let's keep this short.

Why are you cosplaying as Caenis?

Caenis (Alt): Well... It's 'cause I love it! Labor of love, you know? Otherwise, you think a niche little villain like her would be getting sponsorship deals or something?

Caenis (Alt): That's right. From appearance to cannon fodder, barely ten pages total... but even so, they still managed to rack up some serious hate.

You've got some pretty unique tastes.

Caenis (Alt): Mm-hmm~ People have their own hobbies.

Caenis (Alt): Well, I know this character isn't exactly popular, but what can I say? I've just got a soft spot for cosplaying villains—

Caenis (Alt): Ugh, a protagonist groupie like you could never understand the absolute rush I get when people are gritting their teeth at the character I'm playing, totally helpless to do anything about it... Tsk.

Caenis (Alt): That said, though... Lygus next door is definitely more of a "villain" type. Too bad I'm not into the masked hero thing, or I would've featured him this time around.

Why do you like this character?

Caenis (Alt): A legendary hero driven mad by his obsession with the inheritance of his era, ultimately meeting his dead end. Wow, I just love this kind of vibe! How fascinating!

Caenis (Alt): Besides, in fiction, the bad guys are often way more memorable than the good guys.

Caenis (Alt): If you just skim through As I've Written, you probably won't even remember most of the good guys' names. But mention "Caeneus"... heh, who doesn't want to grind their teeth in exasperation?

Caenis (Alt): Of course, I still gotta cover my bases here! Loving this villain and thinking they deserve to be torn limb from limb are two entirely different things!

You're gonna get in trouble cosplaying her, aren't you?

Caenis (Alt): That'd be like counting the stars on Oronyx's curtain. There are way too many to count. Just last month at a Xianzhou-Only convention, I cosplayed as Phanty, and I nearly got slapped by some hardcore Tingyun fan.

Caenis (Alt): But that's totally fine! You know what that means? It means I'm a great actress! Not just anyone can pull off the presence of Lord Ravager, you know.

Caenis (Alt): Playing Lord Ravager is pretty boring, though. Their personalities are all way too extreme, so I just have to act a little unhinged and call it a day.

Caenis (Alt): It's complex villains like Caeneus that really get me. Evil, but not just evil. Now that's what makes playing the role fun~
