Story

Corinchi was a legendary hero born before the Chrysos War.^[1] He embarked on a "grand journey for the throne, drinking with gods at sea," (possibly Phagousa) and wrestled their creations, and ascended a sacred mountains under priestly guidance.^[2] Corinchi slew a black-fanged monster born from the black tide and earned all the honors a hero could attain. Upon returning home, he found his homeland in ruins, and in a final act of divine fate, he was crystallized into a star in the sky.^[1] His legacy inspired tales of heroism, but also tragic reenactments among later generations.^[3]

• Corinchi may be inspired by the Greek hero Heracles. He has a similar story about strangling a snake as a small child.
