Deborah: Ahem... C—Could I please have a Chartreuse? The one made with 143 herbs.

She lets out a deep sigh, her shoulders finally relaxing. But almost immediately, as if recalling something, she reflectively tenses up again to speak, her voice strained and her breathing evidently uneven.

Deborah: Ah... um... no h—honey, please.

Actually, I'm not the waiter.

Deborah: Ah... I—Is that so? My apologies...

But why's your voice like that?

Deborah: Th—This is... actually how I talk...

Deborah: *Sigh* Never mind. I can't ever seem to fake it right.

She takes a deep breath, and her facade of toughness — covering up an imminent collapse — immediately vanishes.

Deborah: I'm sorry... It's my first time traveling alone. Th—This is all a bit new to me.

Deborah: My family said I should act more seasoned out there to avoid being exploited.
