Dhyana is a mission-exclusive NPC featured in Event Adventure Mission Ordination.

Profile

Dhyana was a Revered Master of the Claretwheel Temple. She held the commandment of "do not kill" steadfast, as to her fear and hatred just perpetuated the cycle of war and bloodshed.

History

One day, Samatha, Revered Master Dhyana, and Dharmic Monk Virya discovered the remnants of a war machine left behind during the Emperor's War, who was known as Elite Soldier 0089 of the Machine Empire. 0089 woke up and ran the Anti-Organic Equation to attack the monks, but the monks managed to stop him. 0089 could not understand why the monks did not destroy him, and the monks claimed that they found an even greater power beyond slaughter. In order to obtain this "power," 0089 decided to join the monks' journey to the Xianzhou Luofu while learning more about the Claretwheel Temple.^[1]

51 System Days before the start of the Wardance, the monks were attacked by stray borisin. Virya was fatally wounded when fighting off the stray wolves and died peacefully after the wolves ran away. When 0089 questioned the temple's commandment of "do not kill," Dhyana explained that after she took in Samatha, she realized that she could not bury the seeds of fear and hatred in the earth of tomorrow and let Samatha become yet another chained cog in the cycle of war and bloodshed.^[1]

Later, the monks were attacked by a bounty hunter who hunted down the remaining offspring of the Anti-Organic Equation, and Dhyana was killed by the hunter after pushing away 0089. Samatha stopped 0089 from vengeance and let the hunter go. From then on, no bounty hunters appeared again. 0089 requested to be ordained to further his study, and Samatha performed the ordination and bestowed upon him the ordained name of "Sugata."^[1]
