Story

The victory or defeat of a frontier war, the truth or falsehood of romantic gossip, the quality of a newly released work... On the pan-cosmic network, people always find reasons to argue, whether out of conviction or boredom. A Masked Fool telepath [sic] claimed that all of this is a Tavern conspiracy: Fools delight in arguments, much like the raucous noise in a tavern. Without it, how could the laughter stand out? The reason the internet is so chaotic is entirely because Fools spread discord-inducing MacGuffins, igniting people's extreme emotions. Consequently, the number of attacks and nasty jokes directed at the Fools skyrocketed, until an Aether Hacker stepped forward to debunk the rumor: It was in fact The Family that had been spreading MacGuffins, not the Fools.
