This track is a Grand Song (al laox) (Chinese: 侗族大歌), a genre of Chinese music in Kam language spoken by the Dong people.^[2]

↑ In Chinese literature, 南山 (southern hills) is a symbol of longevity, and there is the idiom 寿比南山 ("Long may you live") that literally translates to "May you live as long as the southern hills."
