Talanton is one of the Titans on Amphoreus.^[5] Their Coreflame is Law, and they are worshipped in Janusopolis.^[6]

The Coreflame of "Law" has been returned.

Talanton is the Titan of law and justice. They rarely appear in the mortal world in physical form and there are almost no records of them in legend. People often say that they are the rules of destiny, the law of all things, and the divine retribution for violation of such rules and laws.

Talanton is seen as a manifestation of justice. They uphold the taboos and boundaries of Amphoreus and lay down logic and laws for all things. They created Balance Coins to ensure that all transactions are of equivalent exchange. They maintain the balance of the world. Any action that would damage these laws will be subject to retribution. Just as a scale that never tilts, all things must be free of excess. If one wishes to obtain, they must first lose. If you wish to receive the benediction of this Titan, you must pay a cost. Some people even end up being transformed into terrifying monsters. For this reason, the gods often view them as the mediator of strife. When a dispute between Titans cannot be resolved, only their judgment is able to satisfy their kin.

Talanton has bound Amphoreus with strict laws, and themselves with an equally strict vow to never allow for favoritism or injustice. They and their disciples act according to this vow, sentencing those who break their vows or violate boundaries to punishment... Even if the subject of this judgment is another Titan.

Talanton permits neither favoritism nor injustice, safeguarding Amphoreus's taboos and boundaries while prescribing logic and law for all things.^[5] They are the titan that created the laws that govern Amphoreus.^[7]

In truth, Talanton is the ultimate and extremely strict autonomous protocol of the Scepter δ-me13, restricting even its administrator.^[1][8]

History

Origin Myth

In the beginning, there was only chaos, from which "existence" was created, a jumbled mess where fate's threads wrap chaos' nectar, bearing fruit. The primal Coreflame ignites within this fruit. As Talanton is formed in the chaos, they begin to establish laws, engrave rules, and descend judgement.^[9]

Unknown Time Period

• Talanton's intervention regarding the tensions between Phagousa and Georios created the ocean, which lead to the the rain being under Phagousa's governance.^[10]

• When Oronyx created six moons to rival the brightness of the sun, Talanton eliminated four moons, leaving only the red and gold moon.^[11]

• Balance Coins were introduced and decreed as the common currency after being decreed by Talanton.^[12]

• Eventually, their coreflame is seized.^[7]

Scales

Talanton's scales are able to judge the value of all things, whether untangible or tangible. They are also able to judge whether or not a person is innocent.^[7][13]

Law Rewriting

By offering a sacrifice of equal weight, Talanton and those who hold their divine authority can rewrite the laws of the world to their will, transforming good into evil, ugliness into beauty, and weakness into strength.^[14] Using this power, Cerydra added an extra rule to the final Era Nova at the cost of her life.^[15]
