Trivia
- The game of chicken is a game theory in which two players engage in a face off to make one of the players yield, thus losing the game and being called the "chicken" (i.e coward). Both players will avoid yielding out of pride, while taunting the other to yield out of shame. If one player yields, the game ends and any conflict is avoided, while neither player yielding leads to the worst possible outcome for everyone involved.
- The phrase "game of chicken" is also used as a metaphor for a situation where two parties engage in a showdown where they have nothing to lose but pride is stopping them from backing down.
