Wave-Chasing Fish
Last updated 2026-05-01
Wave-Chasing Fish is a 2-star Equation in Divergent Universe: Protean Hero.
Story
The mothers of Styxia all say, don't be like the wave-chasing fish.
Empty-headed, drifting with the current, having no idea where to go.
But the fishermen say they prefer these wave-chasing fish.
They always move sluggishly, even with half their bodies eaten by sea beasts.
Once a sea siren tried to guide them with her song,
yet couldn't fill the void in their eyes.
Fortunately, they are as numerous as the stars, so the ocean isn't left empty.
Whenever such stories are told, scholars always shake their heads and sigh:
If not for their nature, they could have grown enormous,
so large that the entire ocean couldn't contain them.
