MiHoYo

miHoYo is a Chinese video game development and publishing studio based in Shanghai, China, and are the creators of Tears of Themis, as well as Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd.

History

miHoYo was founded in 2012 by three Shanghai Jiaotong University graduate students who shared a passion for technology and ACG (anime, comics, and games) culture. These otakus formed what has become not just a game company, but an original IP creator with its own anime, manga, light novels, music, and more that expand upon the engaging worlds and stories of games.^[1] The game Genshin Impact is their most popular game with 17 million downloads within release week and makes $6 million a day.^{[citation needed]}
