You arrive at the second floor of Yum Cha Sin as invited.
After a short wait, you see Manato step out from the kitchen.

Komano Manato: (‍WiseWiseText for Wise / BelleBelleText for Belle‍), you're here!

So when you said you were treating me to a meal...

You meant you're cooking yourself?

(ProtagonistProtagonistWise / Belle): Ohh, so this is what you meant by treating me to a meal? You're cooking it yourself?

Komano Manato: That's right! I made several trips to the market to pick up ingredients, even asked the older folks there how to do it right...

Komano Manato: Fish maw chicken soup takes a lot of prep, and my home kitchen's way too small. The stove doesn't get hot enough either, so I asked Sweety for help...

Komano Manato: She was really generous and let me use part of their kitchen here. That helped out a lot!

Manato hurries back into the kitchen.
The delicious smell coming from inside is too tempting. You find yourself wandering over and sneaking a peek through the door.

Steam and soft light wrap around Manato as he moves with practiced rhythm, flipping a spatula, grabbing seasoning bottles, all in one smooth flow.
In that moment, he looks even more dependable and mature than you imagined.

Not long after, he brings out plate after plate of beautifully cooked dishes.

Komano Manato: Blanched choy sum, shrimp & scrambled eggs, fish maw chicken soup... All recipes I learned from folks at the market! Not sure why, but they were super passionate about teaching me how to cook...

You take the bowl from him. The rich aroma wraps around you as you take a big gulp.
