Profile
Betty Brenda is an alumnus of the Roose Institute of Technology and former roommate of Grace Howard. Due to their differing ideals towards smart machinery and its requirements for a personality OS, amongst other things, Betty begun to harbor a one-sided rivalry with Miss Howard.
At some point after graduation, Betty was hired by an unnamed company as their corporate mechanic, where she modified a Autonomous Support Unit - Guardian MK II.
History
Betty Brenda was the dorm-mate of Grace Howard back when they studied at the Roose Institute of Technology. Due to Grace's obsession towards mechanical constructs and their benefits to humanity, however, the two failed to properly connect with each other during their studies. An argument about the nature of using sentient machines for human jobs caused their relationship to sour, unaided by Grace's tendency to put said machines under more stress than her peers deemed appropriate. Around this time, Betty and other classmates begun referring to Grace as the "frosty cold Iron Witch", seeing her approach as immoral and cruel.
Years later, Betty's company and Belobog Heavy Industries both sought a collaboration with the Three Gates Corp. for differing reasons. Grace failed to recognise Betty when she and her modified Guardian saved her and Phaethon in a Hollow, enraging her severely. Betty used the collaboration competition as a chance to try and prove herself as equal to Grace, copying the logic core data of the machine she had helped Grace protect. From this plagiarized data, Betty created Witchhunter Alpha, announcing her premature victory in the collaboration competition to Phaethon.
Due to the bugs related to Geroy, however, Witchhunter Alpha went berserk after a mere two hours in a companion hollow of the Lemnian Hollow. This manic state of Witchhunter Alpha forced Grace and Betty to work together to subdue it, almost costing Grace her life. Despite expecting ridicule, Grace complimented Betty on her craftsmanship, but it did little to aid Betty's crestfallen attitude. Seeing the damage she had done, Betty forfeited the competition and left the area in the custody of New Eridu Public Security.
Due to her actions, Betty's mechanics licence was revoked, and she was suspended from work for an unknown period of time.
