Chalky Devil is a Bangboo that belongs to Raysen. After Raysen installed the "League of Bangboo" video game app on Chalky, it developed a disobedient and aggressive personality and began calling itself Chalky Devil. Due to learning a skill called "Provoke Lv.10" through the game, it constantly tries to pick fights with other Bangboo (or entities mistaken for Bangboo such as General Chop). Unlike other Bangboo, it speaks like a human.

The boy takes out his phone, opens an app with a ball-shaped logo and fumbles with it. Aiming the camera at his Bangboo, he yells, "Come back, Chalky Devil"

Surprisingly, the Bangboo called "Chalky Devil" actually calms down. The boy picks it up, apologizes, and leaves the video store.

Raysen and Chalky Devil are a reference to Pokémon. In fact, their "path to championship" to become "master Bangboo trainers" through "duels" is a parallel to the journey Ash Ketchum undertook together with Pikachu.
The indie game named "League of Bangboo" (LoB) is likely a reference to the popular MOBA game League of Legends (LoL).
