![]() This is a true story I heard from my friend. Two brothers went to the Lemnian Hollow to mine for Lumite ore. While digging, the older brother found a strange mineral that seemed alive, and with a "snap!" is suddenly attached itself to his chest and burrowed into his body! After that, he started acting weird. He wouldn't say a word no matter what you asked him, just stumbled forward like an Ethereal. The younger brother could only follow him until they entered a cave. Inside the cave was a faceless monster, but the moment it saw the brothers, it read their wishes and suddenly grew a human face, transforming into their long-lost sister whom they'd been searching for all these years! The older brother remained silent, but their "Sister" started answering the younger brother's questions — where she'd been all these years, where she was now... But when she got to the third question, the "sister" suddenly vanished. The younger brother, only half-believing it, decided to go to the address he'd learned about to find his sister. But his older brother wouldn't move another step. His face gradually became blurry and disappeared, turning him into the next faceless monster! Terrified and heartbroken, the younger brother fled the cave alone. That's the story of the possessing ore spirit and the Mind-Reading Monster. Keep an eye on any friends acting strange... they might be possessed by an ore spirit. If you catch one, it'll lead you to the Mind-Reading Monster's lair, where it'll transform into the person you miss most, answer your deepest questions, and then... turn you into the next monster! | ||
| SqueekSqueek They might be called Ore Spirits or Mind-Reading Monsters, but since they were found in a Hollow, they must be Ethereals. | 1F | |
| [OP] Midnight Hooves And one more thing... when the brother turned into the Mind-Reading Monster, he left behind some baffling last words: "Ginger tong sui." I later got word from a trustworthy friend that Ore Spirits are terrified of two things: ginger tong sui and getting their ears flicked. Just one touch of tong sui or a good ear flick, and they'll pop right off whoever they're possessing. Then all you have to do is chase it down to find the Mind-Reading Monster! | 2F | |
| Mind Your Own So if you flick its ear with a finger dipped in ginger tong sui, does that give you double the chance of finding the Ore Spirit? | 3F | |
| Blue Flame Candle The story was kinda interesting up until now, but that ginger tong sui really killed the vibe. I seriously suspect you just came up with that on the fly. Were you drinking ginger tong sui while writing this, or are you secretly advertising for that dessert shop in Failume Heights? | 4F | |
| BearBiscuitBox Is there a sequel to the story? Did the brother find his sister? | 5F | |
