I Feel Up For... This Movie! is a Trust Commission for Tsukishiro Yanagi in Lumina Square.
Steps
- Meet up with Tsukishiro Yanagi at the cinema
Dialogue
- (Idle)
- Yanagi: I'm a little dizzy...
- (Talk to Yanagi)
- Yanagi: Ah, you're here. Punctual as always.
- Yanagi: ...*yawn*...
- Yanagi: ...Sorry, I'm tired from dealing with some sudden, unplanned work that cropped up.
Still wanna watch a movie?
Do you wanna rest a bit?- Yanagi: Sorry to bother you... No, I'm fine. And I'm not really that exhausted, at least probably not enough to fall asleep.
- Yanagi: Plus I'm the one who suggested we watch a movie. There's something I want to catch... And it'll be a real shame if we miss it.
- Yanagi: I'm quite interested in these movies, even if I know they aren't rated very highly online.
- Yanagi: Which one... do you wanna watch?
A normal flop
- Trust increase with Tsukishiro Yanagi
- Yanagi: That's what I was thinking. The ratings for this one are actually pretty good, compared to the others.
- You watch the poorly-rated flop together with Yanagi.
- Despite the plot being so cliche it feels like a waste of time by the time you're halfway through... You do have to admit that the soundtrack is a banger.
- Yanagi: The scene at the end... If the director's intention was to leave the audience moved, then his efforts were futile.
A complete flop
- Trust increase with Tsukishiro Yanagi
- Yanagi: That's what I thought, too. As the boss of a video store, you ought to only have reputable tapes available to rent... So you probably haven't seen this one, right?
- You watch the poorly-rated flop together with Yanagi.
- By the halfway point, the plot is already inscrutable. The director frequently drops in irrelevant and forced memes or references to try and show off, disregarding the audience's desire to immerse themselves in the film.
- Yanagi: All over, finally. At the ninety minute mark there I was starting to wonder if it would ever end...
An absolute super flop
- Trust increase with Tsukishiro Yanagi
- Yanagi: I'm a little surprised that you'd choose this...
- You watch the poorly-rated flop together with Yanagi.
- It's so bad that your head hurts... After focusing intently for thirty minutes, you want to beg Yanagi for mercy.
- Just as you swivel your head over to say "Let's run" to Yanagi, you notice her eyes are already closed as she snoozes away peacefully...
- You have never envied Yanagi as much as you do right now. But all you can do is resist the audio-visual bombardment of the terrible movie as best as you can...
- Yanagi: Sorry, I think I dozed off there.
- Yanagi: Was this movie really as bad as the rumors say? ...Or is it even worse? I'm really sorry about putting you through all that alone.
Why do you like watching terrible movies?
- Yanagi: Why, you ask...?
- Yanagi: When the stress really piles on, there's no way I can enjoy quality cinema. It's precisely at moments like these that watching terrible movies can actually have a relaxing effect.
- Yanagi: "If even a movie like this could get green-lit, then we don't have to go hard on ourselves and overdo it for the sake of perfection."
- Yanagi: That's what I think.
- Yanagi: Someone who works hard running a business like yourself must face stress several times greater than I... So I thought I'd recommend this method of relaxation for you.
Actually I kinda liked it.
- Yanagi: I understand. To some extent, there's no such thing as a completely useless movie.
- Yanagi: Maybe the plot's average, but the scenes and soundtrack are fantastic. Or the logic is muddled, but the actors have this authenticity to them...
- Yanagi: There's always one, maybe two highlights that make it worth watching. And I want to be one of those who watch it.
- Yanagi: Maybe this is just meaningless, self-conscious oversharing but — I always like to imagine that those who devoted themselves to this movie are comforted by having just one more serious audience member watching.
- Yanagi: Of course, another reason is...
- Yanagi: ...I don't feel too bad about falling asleep during a movie if it's terrible. It sounds a bit harsh but... It's true.
- Trust increase with Tsukishiro Yanagi
- (Idle)
- Yanagi: Next time...
- (Talk to Yanagi again, optional)
- Yanagi: Next time, you should choose the movie. I'm sure you've got better taste than me.
