Description

A downtrodden detective sees the number of cases and success rate go up at the same time he adopts his friend's child. Every time he thinks he has determined the truth, he somehow loses consciousness. When he wakes up, the case has been solved, but the conclusion reached always seems quite different from what he had deduced...

Trivia

• The plot might be a reference to the manga and anime series Detective Conan, where the protagonist Kudō Shin'ichi, trapped in a child body and living under the pseudonym of Edogawa Conan, follows the private detective Mōri Kogorō; the moment Kogorō tries to solve the case according to his (wrong) conclusions, Conan discreetly sedates him and then uses a voice changer to simulate his voice to reveal the actual solution.
  • The man depicted in the videotape cover also bears a striking resemblance to Mōri Kogorō, especially the mustache.
