• The English title, and even more the Chinese title 殉日阳辇 Xùn Rìyáng Niǎn, "Martyred Sun Chariot" is a direct reference to the myth of Phaethon, who strove to ride his father Helios' Sun chariot, but drove it so disastrously that he was struck down by Zeus and crashed to his death in the river Eridanus.
