Tessa de Winter

Last updated 2026-02-15

Lady Tessa de Winter is a commission-exclusive NPC. She is the primary antagonist of the Special Episode Astra-nomical Moment.

Profile

Tessa de Winter is the widow of Joran de Winter, a musician whose work inspired the pop idol Astra Yao. After Joran committed suicide, a grief-stricken Tessa blamed his death on the studios who had warred over the rights to his work, Odeum and Fugue.[2] Enraged, she resolved to take revenge on Joran's "murderers" no matter the cost.

History

Tessa chose to take revenge on Odeum and Fugue by sabotaging Astra Yao's "Astra-nomical Moment" concert at Starloop Tower. Knowing that Astra was one of Odeum's most valuable assets — and that Fugue was trying to take her for themselves — Tessa exploited the companies' rivalries, helping lure both their teams to Starloop Tower on the night of the concert.[3] While Odeum and Fugue were busy fighting each other, Tessa sabotaged the tower's thrusters while it was in flight, planning to cause a crash that would kill Astra; the staff of Odeum and Fugue; and the concert's spectators, whom she resented for forgetting Joran so quickly.[4][5]

Though Tessa's plan nearly succeeded, it was foiled by Evelyn Chevalier, a Fugue operative who was working undercover as Astra's manager and bodyguard.[6] Having realized that something was amiss, Evelyn fought through both Odeum and Fugue's bodyguards to rescue Astra. As the two reunited onstage, Tessa revealed herself to them, using a powerful robot to attack them. After defeating it, Astra and Phaethon managed to re-align the tower's thrusters and save the concert from crashing into New Eridu.

After Starloop Tower safely landed, Tessa was arrested by New Eridu Public Security.
