• Alyasa (Arabic: اليسع) is the name of the prophet Elisha in Islam. He is a prophet of God who was sent to guide the Children of Israel (Jacob). Similar to Elisha and Elijah, Alyasa is the prophetic successor of Ilyas.
  • The names of Alyasa's family (Ashera, Ilyas, and Izebel) are all references to characters involved in the story of Elijah in the Books of Kings in the Hebrew Bible.
