Region

Regions (also called nations or countries) are the main parts of Teyvat. The following gameplay mechanics use region-level divisions:

Map tabs, for quickly panning the map to each region's Main City
Expeditions
Commissions; the preferred region can additionally be chosen via the Adventurer Handbook
Ley Line Outcrops, which can be tracked per region via the Adventurer Handbook

Party Region-Based Effects

For in-game mechanics, each playable character is affiliated with up to one region, indicated by the Vision icon in the Character Menu, even if they have an additional nationality story-wise (such as Thoma).

Weapons

3 Weapons match the category selection:

Lithic Blade	510 (42)	ATK 41.3% (9%)	Lithic Axiom: Unity For every character in the party who hails from Liyue, the character who equips this weapon gains 7~11% ATK increase and 3~7% CRIT Rate increase. This effect stacks up to 4 times.
Lithic Spear	565 (44)	ATK 27.6% (6%)	Lithic Axiom: Unity For every character in the party who hails from Liyue, the character who equips this weapon gains 7~11% ATK increase and a 3~7% CRIT Rate increase. This effect stacks up to 4 times.

Talents

There are 2 Talents that match the category selection:

Homebound Wind's Paean Homebound Wind's Paean Varka	For every party member from Mondstadt, the Hold version of Varka's Elemental Skill Windbound Execution's CD is decreased by 5%. This effect does not trigger in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.	Utility Passive

Others

Several objectives in photo-taking events require characters with the specified regions. Such events include Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens, Mementos of Teyvat, and Rapid Capture.
While diving, Fontainian characters and the Traveler can jump out of the water when sprinting to the surface.
Having a Natlan character in the party unlocks Nightsoul Bursts. Having additional Natlan characters decreases the Nightsoul Burst cooldown.
