Companion Caper Chronicles is a part of the Battle of Imagined Arrays event.
It is unlocked by completing Those Strange and Intriguing Questions and accessed from the 
icon in front of Atashye.
Tutorial
In the "Companion Caper Chronicles," each challenge will contain 3 Acts. There will be a Zone Boss stage at the end of each Act.
Once the Zone Boss is defeated, you can enter the next Act!
However, your opponents will get tougher as your adventure proceeds. Defeat the final Boss to achieve victory in your adventure!

- Party's Remaining Lives
In the "Companion Caper Chronicles," battles will not immediately end should your adventure team be defeated. Instead, you will lose 1 Remaining Life...
You will be defeated once you have 0 Remaining Lives left.
However, no matter how many Remaining Lives you have, be warned — the Zone Boss can only be challenged once!

- Upgrading Pieces
You can use the Companion Piece Shop or the Companion Piece Replicator to obtain pieces. If you obtain 3 Companion Pieces of the same level, you can automatically trigger enhancement.
Pieces can go up to enhancement Level 3, and after you unlock specialized Speculation Level Effects, you can get them up to Level 4.

- Buying and Selling Model Equipment
You can buy a variety of model equipment during Equipment Shop events. This can be used to strengthen your Companion Pieces.
As your adventure proceeds, the Shop will likely stock higher-quality equipment!

- About Different Species Features
Drag unique pieces from the same species onto the field to trigger Species Feature effects based on the number of unique pieces. Special secret treasures and equipment can also affect the number of Species Features.
Additionally, opponents do not benefit from Species Features.

- The Cruel Chessboard Battlefield
The adventure team on the field will need to defeat all opposing units within a set time to attain victory. If the battle is not decided in a set amount of time, you will enter the Attrition Warfare phase: All friendly on-field units will continuously lose HP until victory is decided.
