Child

The unnamed child is a quest-exclusive NPC that appears in the Archon Quest The Kabukimono's Finale in Interlude Chapter: Act III - Inversion of Genesis.

Profile

At some point after Scaramouche had his second betrayal, he wandered the Inazuman countryside and soon met this child. The child's parents originally worked in a weapons factory before an unknown illness killed all who worked there. The child caught the illness from his parents, though he was raised by his neighbors. Eventually, he came upon Scaramouche and the two made a promise to live together. Unfortunately, the illness quickly killed the child, and when Scaramouche returned, the boy had died from his illness, which he considered his final betrayal.^[2]

Trivia

• It is unclear whether the child in Skeletal Hat is the same as this child. While both boys were the children of Tatarasuna craftspeople and both were ill, Skeletal Hat writes that the next time Scaramouche stepped foot on Tatarasuna, the boy was nowhere to be found, which contradicts the idea of the two living together and Scaramouche caring for the boy.
