Este may be a close descendant (such as a daughter or granddaughter) of the Remurian Este the Quick-Witted, who followed Cassiodor the Golden Hunter to Fontaine and is known to have started a Fontainian family. She is recorded as having "inherited the responsibilities of the Golden Hunter"[1] and the "inheritor of Cassiodor's will",[2] so it could be inferred that she was Cassiodor's successor as the Marechaussee Hunters' leader after he left that role.
It could be assumed that Cassiodor had his own family and named a daughter after Este, but he never indicated that he had started one.
