In previous years, the boss and the others always kept their "surprise" preparations from me. This time, though, they asked me to review the celebration plans and their request for funding in advance. They said it was because they wanted to invite you to join us.

I checked the schedule and shopping list item by item. Surprisingly, everything was reasonable and properly arranged... Maybe Ushi kept an eye on the planning?

There is still one potential problem. They left the final item on the schedule as a "surprise," and no matter what I said, they refused to show me the details. Not that I particularly want to think about what they might be planning this time... But I do know the boss and the others genuinely want to make you feel welcome. Whatever they can do, they'll do their best.
