Another year gone in a flash, and I hope you've been well. Now that the weather is getting chilly, it's time to layer up and break out the winter blankets. In Snezhnaya, snow will come in winter as scheduled, while here in Fontaine, it's been overcast for days, but it hasn't rained yet. I had briefly hoped that a light winter drizzle might fall on my birthday, but as of this morning, none has appeared. I cannot help but wonder whether my younger self would have taken any pleasure in the promised rain. In any case, it matters little, as no rain will fall today. It is my birthday, and I should allow myself a measure of cheer. You may therefore attend the appointment without concern; there is no need to bring an umbrella. | |
