Satyavada Life and Paripurna Life are the two known phases of Irminsul attunement, a practice performed by Sumeru Akademiya scholars who seek breakthroughs in knowledge by obtaining a connection to Irminsul. Satyavada Life is the second-to-last phase in Irminsul attunement and involves isolated meditation in Dharma Forest; from there, those who can reliably connect to Irminsul are said to have reached Paripurna Life.[1]

Researchers who obtain knowledge through Irminsul play an important role in the Akasha System. They transcribe that knowledge into Knowledge Capsules, which are then entered into the Akasha during Jnagarbha Day;[2] as such, the information in Akasha is considered information from Irminsul itself.[3]

Overview

Attuning to Irminsul in order to gain greater insights and more profound knowledge is a multi-phase process,[1][4] although only the last two phases, Satyavada Life and Paripurna Life, have been named. It involves deepening one's sensitivity and connection to Dendro, often with the aid of Spirit Borneol, an incense made from plants created by Greater Lord Rukkhadevata like Rukkhashava Mushrooms. However, many scholars prove unable to make a connection to Irminsul at all; Haypasia was considered a genius for being able to connect to Irminsul after three years.[1]

The custom of isolated meditation during Satyavada Life came about due to the Sumeru Akademiya sages' explanation that scholars went mad during this phase if they obtained too much knowledge while mentally unprepared. Subsequently, scholars began isolating themselves in the forest in order to avoid distractions and prevent themselves from involving others should they go mad,[1] while laypeople were taught to avoid scholars behaving strangely in the forest, as they should not be disturbed during training.[5][6] In reality, the insanity was caused by the forbidden knowledge contaminating Greater Lord Rukkhadevata's residual consciousness lingering in Irminsul. While Lesser Lord Kusanali warned the sages about this, they refused to ban the practice.[7] Mad scholars were instead apprehended by the Matra and exiled to Aaru Village.[8]

Following the purge of forbidden knowledge from Irminsul during Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V - Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises, scholars no longer go mad from forbidden knowledge. That said, Satyavada Life practitioners risk going mad by connecting to any kind of divine consciousness, like Haypasia did after making contact with Scaramouche's consciousness while he was in the process of being turned into a god; notably, she displayed different symptoms from other Satyavada Life scholars.[9] She returned to normal shortly after Scaramouche was defeated and the process of turning him into a god was aborted.[10]

Etymology

  • Satyavada may be derived from the Sanskrit words satyá (Sanskrit: सत्य "true") and vāda (Sanskrit: वाद "speech").
  • Paripurna (Sanskrit: परिपूर्ण paripūrṇa) means "full" in Sanskrit.
