Where Waves Meet the Reef
- Seahawk: The nearby waters appear calm for now... No signs of monsters or pirate activity detected.
Are you on lookout?
- Seahawk: That's right. I'm the intelligence officer aboard this ship. It's my job to collate information from various sources to help better inform our operational decision-making.
- Seahawk: Before we set sail, I learned a fair bit about Nod-Krai, and it's left me worried about running into pirates. If that did happen, we'd probably have to sink them...
- Seahawk: Or... What if some dirty miscreant crept onto our ship under the cover of darkness to pilfer our supplies? Or even worse, rob us at gunpoint!?
- Seahawk: We're outfitted to be at sea long-term, so we have to manage our resources carefully. The upshot is we don't have a big crew — even minor boarding actions could quickly get out of hand.
- Seahawk: In fact, we ran into a group of pirates a few moons back — nighttime boarding specialists. We took quite the beating before we thankfully managed to drive them off...
- Seahawk: We've identified a whole host of dangerous elements to watch out for in Nod-Krai, but for whatever reason, they all seem scared to mess with this event.
- Seahawk: I can only assume the measures put in place by the organizers are working! I wonder if Captain Beidou has had the chance to talk to the person in charge about teaming up... Long-term partnerships are always a boon to have!
(He seems very focused. I should probably leave him to it.)
- Seahawk: The seas are calm and quiet... But that doesn't mean we can let our guard down.
