Q-Manifold
Last updated 2026-08-04
Q-Manifold is an Abyss-variant game mode that was added in Version 5.6 and replaced Dirac Sea. It is currently accessible only by Captains who are Captain Level 25~80.
Gameplay
Cycles
There are two cycles each week, starting at 15:00 (3:00 PM) on Mondays and Fridays, finalizing at 22:00 (10:00 PM) on Wednesdays and Sundays. Rewards are obtainable through both stage challenges and finalization.
In Q-Manifold, clearing all stages before finalization is adequate for obtaining most rewards. Additionally, depending on the clearing time of the last stage, it determines if Captains will be promoted, which can earn Captains extra promotion rewards. After Breaking the Ceiling and reaching Lv. 81, Q-Manifold will automatically be replaced by Superstring Dimension once the next cycle starts.
Stages
- In Q-Manifold, Captains fight through 10 floors, each with different enemies, the last of which is a boss floor. Defeating a floor in 120 seconds unlocks the next floor and the corresponding challenge rewards. Every cycle of Q-Manifold has different weathers and stage skills.
- Q-Manifold includes different floors with different enemies. Complete the current floor to enter the next.
- Boss floors feature extra objectives. Complete them to enter the next floor. Complete the final boss floor to obtain challenge rewards.
- Captains can play the final boss floor repeatedly to get 1,000 points for clearing and bonus points based on time left.
Weather/Environment & Mechanics
- Each cycle of Abyss features unique weather effects which boost Valkyrie performance in different ways.
- Abyss stages also feature different mechanics that can be used to the Captain's advantage.
Dimension
- Dimension (top right in red) remains the same throughout each cycle.
- Based on the performance of every Captain in this cycle, it will be adjusted next cycle. In general, a shorter average clearing time will raise Dimension and enhance enemies.
- The Redlotus, Sinful, and Agony divisions share the same Dimension.
Brackets
Before entering any bracket, Captains are first required to complete 10 floors of Starting Out. Afterwards, Q-Manifold is divided into three brackets by Captain Level: Beginners (Lv. 25-55), Elites (Lv. 56-69), and Masters (Lv. 70-80). Level 81 and higher Captains cannot enter Q-Manifold.
In addition to each bracket, each level bracket is divided into three tiers, named Sinful, Agony, and Red Lotus (often abbreviated RL) from lowest to highest. Each iteration, a Captain may move one tier up or down. Advancing into a higher tier requires clearing floor 10 in 120 seconds. The level bracket, tier, and highest cleared floor affect the rewards.
Tiers
- Sinful: No relegation. Complete the objective of the final floor to be promoted, or otherwise to be retained.
- Agony: Complete certain floors to be retained, or otherwise to be relegated. Complete the objective of the final floor to be promoted.
- Redlotus: Complete the objective of the final floor to be retained, or otherwise to be relegated.
Rewards
In Q-Manifold, floor rewards are handed out immediately after clearing a floor. The final floor features an objective. Complete it to claim challenge rewards. The higher a Captain's rank, the more total rewards there are.
