Where's the Rest?
This page is a stub. You can help Honkai Impact 3 Wiki by expanding it. The following sections or aspects need to be expanded upon: Mobile settings, servers, languages (per server).

Settings is a menu that can be found in the Ai-phone icon near the bottom right of the bridge screen. Many settings can be changed for audio, graphics, image contrast, push notifications, and other settings as well.

Audio

Audio deals with the volume and voice settings of the game.

Voice-over

Character voices can be set to 2 different types:

  1. Japanese
    • Note that some dialogue may not be voiced for the Japanese version.
  2. Chinese

Volume

Volume can be set for several different types of audio. All options below can be adjusted from 0 to 100.

  1. Master Volume:
    1. Volume (General volume for all below)
  2. Volume Balance:
    1. BGM (Background music)
    2. SFX (Sound effects)
    3. Characters (Character voices)
    4. ELFs (ELF character voices)
    5. CG (Cutscene audio)
  3. Mute: This will automatically set the Captain's Master Volume to 0. This setting can be toggled on or off. When off, if the Captain has their Master Volume at a certain number (ex. 50) and then toggles Mute on then off again, the number will not be reset.

Assistance

Assist settings allow the Captain to adjust specific characteristics of their controls and gameplay.

  1. The following settings can be changed from 10 to 100, with the default being set at 50.
    1. Camera Horizontal Sensitivity: Refers to how quick the camera is when swiping left or right.
    2. Camera Vertical Sensitivity: Refers to how quick the camera is when swiping up or down.
    3. Mouse Camera Horizontal Sensitivity: Same as Camera Horizontal Sensitivity, but with a mouse.
    4. Mouse Camera Vertical Sensitivity: Same as Camera Vertical Sensitivity, but with a mouse.
    5. Virtual Mouse Sensitivity: Refers to how far or quick the mouse cursor moves on the screen.
    6. Scrolling Speed: Refers to how quick content can scroll up or down on the screen.
    7. Camera Zoom Sensitivity: Refers to how quick the camera moves up or down when in aiming mode.[note 1]
  2. The following settings can be toggled on or off.
    1. Show Button Map: Will put the keybinds the Captain has chosen under their designated function. (Ex. if [Exit] is set to the Esc key, the Esc label will appear under every [Exit] button applicable.) This will not show the key binds set for general movement if [Hide Joystick] is enabled.
    2. Show Tips: Refers to the in-game hints and tips that often pop up during gameplay.
    3. Show FPS Will let the Captain see their current Frames-Per-Second in the bottom left corner of the screen when in Open World or combat. This setting will automatically change every second depending on the Captain's FPS.
    4. Enable Controller Vibration: Refers to if the controller will physically shake or rumble according to the in-game environments. Enabling this setting can take up more battery.
    5. Hide Joystick: Refers to the bottom left circle where the Captain can control their movement. It can provide clarity for what the Captain is controlling. This setting only refers to the visual effect and will not change the bottom left side of the screen's control.
    6. Invert Vertical Camera: This setting inverts the effects of controls that are set for either up or down. Reversing the effects means that, if a Captain were to normally scroll up with a mouse, the screen would go up instead of down. This setting only applies when in the Open World or in combat.
    7. Invert Horizontal Camera: This setting inverts the effects of controls that are set for either left or right. Reversing the effects means that, if a Captain were to normally swipe left, the screen would go right instead of left. This setting only applies when in the Open World or in combat.

Key Bindings

Key Bindings will change the position of the [Ultimate] and [Jump] buttons depending on the two choices. This setting was added in Version 7.3 with the Astral Ring system.

  1. Recommended Mode: When chosen, the [Ultimate] button will be above the [Jump] button when in the Open World or combat.
  2. Classic Mode: When chosen, the [Jump] button will be above the [Ultimate] button when in the Open World or combat.

Graphics

Video settings handle most of the game's graphics—allowing for downloading assets and turning on battery saver.

Global Display

  1. Resolution: Changes screen size. The options presented will vary per device.
    • 2560 × 1080 Fullscreen
    • 1920 × 1080 Fullscreen
    • 1920 × 1080 Window Resolution
    • 1680 × 1050 Window Resolution

    • 1360 × 768 Window Resolution
    • 1280 × 720 Window Resolution
    • 720 × 480 Window Resolution
  2. Graphics Quality: Presets that automatically change other settings depending on the chosen option. Lower video quality and graphics will result in a better performance for low- to mid-tier devices.
    • Performance
    • Normal
    • HD (Recommended)
    • Quality
    • Max
    • Custom
  3. Frame Rate: Frame Rate settings will change the maximum Frames-Per-Second (FPS) the game will run at. Higher Frame Rate will make scenes—such as battle or CGs—to run smoother. Lowering the FPS can increase performance but also cause small issues within gameplay.
    • 30
    • 60
    • 90 (PC only)
    • 120 (PC only)
    1. These two require a computer powerful enough to notice a difference, Captains should use a high refresh rate monitor.
  4. Video Settings:
    1. The video setting on mobile version has 3 options:
      • Low (Texture for 360p Resolution/Screen)
      • Mid (Texture for 480p Resolution/Screen)
      • High (Texture for 720p Resolution/Screen)
    2. The video setting on PC version has 4 options:
      • Low (Texture for 720p Resolution/Screen)
      • Mid (Texture for 1080p Resolution/Screen)
      • High (Texture for 1440p|2K Resolution/Screen)
      • Max (Texture for 2160p|4K Resolution/Screen)
  5. V-Sync: V-Sync will synchronize the Frame Rate with the refresh rate (hertz) of the monitor. Having V-Sync enabled will limit Frame Rate and may cause delays or lag. Turning off V-Sync will uncap the Frame Rate but may also cause screen tearing.

    • Enable

Custom

  1. PP: PP stands for Post Processing. This is generally used to increase something called graphic fidelity, or more simply how beautiful the game looks. Enabling this may reduce performance.
  2. Rendering Accuracy: Rending on surroundings, characters, items, etc. In gameplay, this can affect how far things seem and how actions are performed.

Miscellaneous

Other options include:

  • High Quality:
    • This option, like PP, augments the look of the game by using higher quality assets.
  • HDR (high dynamic range imaging):
    • This option affects luminosity or lighting in the game to give a more vivid look.
  • Distortion:
    • Will distort all moving objects in the game. It can be toggled on or off.

Contrast

Contrast will adjust the amount of contrast to all graphics in-game. Both [Normal] and [Soft] modes can have their contrast intensity changed from -20 to 20.

  1. Soft: Softer background lightning. Shadows are less obvious.
  2. Normal: More realistic lighting. Better artistic effects and details.

Other Settings

Camera Lock-on

  1. Free: Lock-on direction follows the joystick, allowing Captains to switch between targets frequently.
  2. Precise: Use the joystick to change the lock-on direction based on screen orientation. The target only changes after the joystick bounces back.
  3. Auto: Lock-on is optimized for each character. Melee characters will prioritize nearby targets. Certain characters will select targets smartly.

DMG Numbers (Total)

  1. This setting refers to the damage numbers that appear during combat. Changing this setting will adjust how close the numbers appear on-screen.
    • Normal
    • Small
    • Close

Server

  1. For Global servers, this setting will allow the player to switch between NA and EU sub-servers.
    • Americas (GMT-5)
    • Europe (GMT+1)

Language

  1. Controls all the text displayed in-game. The available language options vary by server, and selecting a different language will require the game to restart.
    1. For Global servers:
      • 中文 (Simplified Chinese)
      • English
      • Français (French)
      • Deutsch (German)

Continue Autoplaying Story

This setting adjusts the [AutoPlay] option in the Story and can be toggled on or off. When toggled on with [AutoPlay], all story dialogue will automatically continue until user interference. When toggled off with [AutoPlay], individual dialogue will automatically play but requires user interference to continue.

Use the sites from Part 2's main story chapters as the bridge

This will automatically switch the bridge to the player's current chapter in Part 2. As such, it will also follow the restrictions placed on Part 2 bridges. This setting can be toggled on or off. Manually switching to a Part 2 bridge theme will adjust the toggle accordingly.

Real-Time Weather

This will automatically change the current bridge theme's weather to real-time weather. The weather effects will change in real time according to local weather. The default weather effects will be active when there are no scenes matching the current weather in the real world. This setting can also be adjusted in the bridge themes menu and can be toggled on or off.

  • If the Realtime Weather option is not enabled, fixed weather mode will be active.
  • In fixed weather mode, the weather effects will not be synced to local weather.

Toggle Status Bar

This setting refers to the circular status or effect icons above a battlesuit's HP or KE bar when in the Open World or combat. This setting can be toggled on or off. When off, the Captain will not see be able to see the the [Status] menu.

Physics

This setting is slightly misleading as it does not affect all game physics. It simply refers to the "bounciness" of some in-game objects. It can be toggled on or off.

Notes

  1. Confirmation is needed that this only applies to aiming and not the Open World's zoom-in feature.
