Open World

Open World unlocks at Captain Level 40 and includes two parts: the main story mode and the Adventure Tasks. Adventure Tasks refresh weekly, each map offering a main story for an immersive experience. To unlock the main story, Captains must complete Adventure Tasks to raise the map to a certain level.

Task Rules

Adventure Tasks become available after completing the Guidance Missions for the main story. Spending  Stamina to take on Adventure Tasks yields various growth materials and 1 Adventure EXP upon completion. With 3 cycles per week, Captains can take on up to 5 Adventure Tasks per cycle, and Adventure Tasks remain accessible until Captains have collected the rewards after completion.

1. Adventure Tasks
   1. New Adventure Task rounds are unlocked every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
   2. Captains can choose 1 out of the 3 randomly generated Adventure Tasks for each Task Order.
   3. Captains get 15 free refresh attempts for each round. Additional attempts will cost  Crystals.
   4. Captains can cancel 1 accepted Adventure Task per day.
2. Adventure Level
   1. Complete Adventure Tasks to earn Adventure EXP to raise Adventure Level.
   2. Higher Adventure Level provides more challenging Adventure Tasks with better rewards.
   3. All maps share the same Adventure Level.
3. Weekly Finalization Rewards
   1. Finalization Rewards will be issued every Monday based on Adventure Level.
   2. Higher Adventure Level provides better rewards.
   3. Weekly Finalization is only initiated when Captains have completed at least 1 round of Adventure Tasks in that week.
4. Round Finalization Rewards
   1. Round Finalization Rewards will be issued every Monday, Thursday and Saturday based on Adventure Level.
   2. After all Adventure Tasks have been finished, Round Finalization Rewards will be issued when the next round starts.

The following four Open Worlds can be found when clicking [Open World] --> [Select Map]:

• Unlocked at Lv. 40:
  1. A Post-Honkai Odyssey: A post-apocalyptic RPG-like area which depicts the city known as St. Fountain, eight years after Honkai vanished from the Earth.
  2. A Post-Honkai Odyssey Chapter 2: A post-apocalyptic RPG-like area that shows the aftermath of St. Fountain after the events of the former Open World.
• Unlocked at Lv. 50:
  1. Sakura Samsara: A feudal RPG-like area that tells the backstory of Yae Sakura and Higokumaru.
  2. Schicksal HQ: A futuristic RPG-like area where Captains work with Lieserl Albert Einstein and Frederica Nikola Tesla.

Story-exclusive Open Worlds

The following three Open Worlds can be found by clicking [STORY] --> specified part --> specified arc --> specified chapter (optional). They are exclusive to certain Story chapters, acting as hubs for arc-limited features:

• Part 1: The Moon's Origin and Finality Open Worlds:
  1. Kolosten: Takes place during the Thus Spoke Apocalypse arc, with Chapter XXVI, Chapter XXVII, and Chapter XXVIII taking place inside of it.
  2. Elysium Everlasting: Takes place during the To the Flawless arc, with Chapter XXIX, Chapter XXX, and Chapter XXXI taking place inside of it.
  3. New Atra: Takes place during the The Day of Transcending Finality arc, with Chapter XXXII and Chapter XXXIII taking place inside of it.
• Part 2: Extinguished Starlight and Rekindled Fire Open Worlds:
  1. Oxia/Langqiu: Takes place during the Tides of Time Gone By and A Shore Under Watch arcs, with Part 2 Chapter I, Part 2 Chapter II, Part 2 Chapter III, Part 2 EX Chapter, and Part 2 Chapter IV taking place inside of it.
  2. Langqiu, 100 Years Ago/Hyperion 11: Takes place during the Dawn after the Remaining Old Wish arc, with Part 2 Chapter V taking place inside of it.
  3. Ruimu: Takes place during the Dawn after the Remaining Old Wish arc, with Part 2 Chapter VI taking place inside of it.
  4. Tower of Ruimu: God's Residence: Takes place during the Dawn after the Remaining Old Wish arc, with Part 2 Chapter VII, Part 2 EX Chapter 2, and Part 2 Chapter VIII taking place inside of it.
  5. "Realm of Crystallized Memories": Takes place during the Dawn after the Remaining Old Wish arc, with Part 2 Chapter IX and Part 2 EX Chapter 3 taking place inside of it.
  6. Difeng: Natural History Memorial Hall: Takes place during the With You, Whom I Never Knew arc, with Part 2 Chapter X taking place inside of it.
  7. Difeng: Seaside Town: Takes place during the With You, Whom I Never Knew arc, with Part 2 Chapter XI and Part 2 EX Chapter 4 taking place inside of it.
  8. Difeng: Dawnshade District: Takes place during the With You, Whom I Never Knew arc, with Part 2 Chapter XII taking place inside of it.
