"My rock 'n' roll soul is to uphold the dignity of a soldier!"
Captain Dunn is an NPC on Jarilo-VI, located in Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone.
He can be hired as museum staff in the Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities Event, and will appear randomly in the History and Culture Museum.
Profile
He is the Silvermane Guard in charge of the restricted zone. He is responsible for the general management of the support lines (munitions, logistics, energy, etc).
In the past, Dunn used to serve as the keyboardist of the Mechanical Fever band, however he had to leave after his military graduation to focus on defending Belobog from the threat of Fragmentum, resulting in Lynx replacing him in his absence.[2]
When the Astral Express Crew arrived on the planet to handle the threat of the Stellaron, they convinced Serval that Cocolia had been hiding secrets from her. Under the guise of mechanics sent to repair equipment, Serval smuggled the group into the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone. A guard standing post refused to let them in unless they had the encryption key, which he said was being held by Dunn. Likewise, Dunn heard of the mechanics arriving, though he was confused as to why he hadn't been notified. Upon learning that Serval was coming, Dunn panicked, having not showered in two days. When they finally came face-to-face, Dunn realized that she had lied to them and allowed her to leave, but wanted the outsiders to stay. A brief scuffle ensued, resulting in Dunn and his subordinates being knocked unconscious in the battle.[3]
Serval and the others managed to unlock access to the Corridor of Fading Echoes after defeating Gepard, and Dunn came to sometime afterwards. Dunn realized that his friendship with the Trailblazer had started with that fight. After the Trailblazer found a strange person in Backwater Pass, the Trailblazer texted Dunn, asking if he knew about a strange woman in the restricted zone. Dunn sent some men to investigate the area, which included a nearby warehouse. They did not find much of interest, but they did find some letters that he gave to them and wished them luck on their investigation.[4]
After the Stellaron crisis was handled, Dunn texted the Trailblazer, telling them that after their battle, he examined the Restricted Zone's security and decided to host a military exercise to increase vigilance and defensive awareness in the new recruits. Dunn had three drills prepared for the Trailblazer, which they successfully cleared. Dunn thanked the Trailblazer for their time, as they had won over many guards with their performance and that they were excited to spar with them.[5]
When the Interastral Peace Corporation arrived on Jarilo-VI to collect the debt made hundreds of years ago, Bronya was unsure as to taking their aid or refusing it, and asked the Trailblazer to get thoughts from the populace. Dunn was one of the people visited, and he learned of the full situation from the Trailblazer. He vehemently opposed the idea of accepting their aid, believing that the IPC acted as if they owned the planet and was concerned about them reneging on the contract, stating that they should resist them and that surrender was not an option.[6]

Dialogue
- (First interaction)
- Dunn: You came! Even though we've faced off against each other before, please allow me to re-introduce myself.
- Dunn: My name's Dunn, and I serve under Captain Gepard. And I'm the current head of this military restricted zone.
- Dunn: Gepard's already instructed me to give Outsiders like yourselves free access here in the restricted zone.
- Dunn: If you get into any trouble around here, let me know and I'll remedy it for you.
I apologize if I was a little rough last time...
- Dunn: Are you talking about that time you and Serval broke into the restricted zone?
- Dunn: Let's not mention it... I was just carrying out my orders at the time. Since Captain Gepard has already acknowledged your identities, naturally, I didn't have to make things difficult back then.
- Dunn: But at that time I really thought you guys were going to kill me... *sigh* Serval... Can't believe she'd have the heart to do that to me...
- Dunn: Anyway, let bygones be bygones. That fight actually made us closer, right?
Is there anything I can help you with?
- Dunn: Haha, not right now. If I do, I'll get right in touch with you.
...Are you taking revenge on me?
- Dunn: You misunderstood me. I mean since you have extraordinary combat skills, in the future maybe you can help us Guards out...
Great seeing you!
- Dunn: Haha, good to see you.
- Dunn: Alright, after all this chit-chat, it's time for me to get back to work... Anything else you'd like to ask? I'll do my best to answer.
- (Continue to dialogue choices below)
- (Subsequent interactions)
- Dunn: The pressure on the front lines is increasing, and now the strategy of the Silvermane Guards must be adjusted...
- Dunn: Outsider, let's talk. Are you free right now?
Let's have a chat...
- Dunn: Alright, what would you like to chat about?
I heard you also do a bit of rock and roll?
- Dunn: Haha, it all happened when I was still in cadet school... Although we were reserve officers, we were still students at the end of the day. So we needed some after-school hobbies to spend our excess energy.
- Dunn: I formed a rock band with a few like-minded friends, which was quite famous in the cadet school back then.
Who was in your band?- Dunn: Serval, she's our guitarist and lead singer. She was absolutely charming and talented. She totally deserved her position.
- Dunn: I was her keyboardist... and the two of us always worked quite well together. I always felt like we were... Ahem, nothing.
- Dunn: The next one is the drummer — this one will shock you! Do you want to guess who it is? Here's a hint — they're also a member of the Silvermane Guards.
Could it be Gepard?
- Dunn: Uh... he's a high-ranking officer in the Guards for sure, but he doesn't get along with his sister.
Could it be Pela?
- Dunn: What a guess! She didn't tell you beforehand, did she?
Could it be Cocolia?
- Dunn: ...Be careful with your words, outsider!
- Dunn: The correct answer is Pela. Hard to believe, right? The petite, meticulous intelligence officer is actually a drummer in a rock band... I guess there's too much pressure on the job?
- Dunn: I heard that Pela and Serval still do band practice and live performances together regularly, just like old times...
There were only three of you in the band?- Dunn: No, I remember there was another person... Who was it again? I can't believe it, I actually can't remember who it was...
Doesn't a rock band need a bass player?
- Dunn: Ah—yes, yes, the bass player! I just remembered it after hearing it from you. Haha...but what was his name again? Wait, was the bass player a guy or a girl...
I don't know much about rock bands, sorry.- Dunn: ...Eh, never mind. I just can't remember. Don't worry about that person, it's not important.
You and Serval...
- Dunn: ...
- Dunn: It's history already. Sometimes letting go is the best choice...
What kind of job did you do in the military?
- Dunn: I am responsible for the general management of the support lines in the restricted zone. Munitions, logistics, energy... all of these are under my control.
- Dunn: I am also responsible for direct communication with the front line. If the front line was breached... my boys and I would have to form the last line of defense to prevent the enemy from infiltrating the city.
That sounds dangerous.
- Dunn: Fortunately, we have Captain Gepard... So things like that have never happened.
That doesn't sound very dangerous.
- Dunn: It's all thanks to Captain Gepard... At least so far, there has never been a record of a Fragmentum monster getting out of the restricted zone.
That's all.
- Dunn: Later!
I have other things to do. Talk to you later.
- Dunn: Later!
- (After completing Adventure Mission Winter Soldiers' March (III), one-time only)
About the previous drills...
- Dunn: Oh, I heard that! Your performance has been so wonderful that all the Silvermane Guards you faced off against have been won over.
- Dunn: Your reputation has spread like wildfire throughout the restricted zone, (Trailblazer). We're all looking forward to engaging frequently with you.
- Dunn: ...But I guess you have more pressing matters to attend to, yes? Then I wish you all the best.
- (Included in subsequent interactions, upon completing Trailblaze Mission No Time for Me, My Friend)
How have things been?
- Dunn: Impeccable timing. Captain Gepard just sent out a bulletin saying that the frequency of Fragmentum activity has noticeably diminished — all the Silvermane Guards around the restricted zone can finally take a breather.
- Dunn: I heard many officers who were stationed on the front line for long periods can finally take their leaves... A long time coming, I'd say.
- Dunn: I'm just an insignificant logistics officer. I don't claim to know why you broke into the restricted zone last time... But whatever happened, I'm guessing the cut in Fragmentum activity has an 80% chance of being directly caused by you, right?
Yeah, we're the ones who saved Belobog.
- Dunn: Ha, I knew it! It seems like we all owe you a debt of gratitude for our vacations. Thanks so much!
I can't say anything specific...
- Dunn: Got it, got it... Captain Gepard doesn't like us asking too much either, so let's park this topic for now.
I've never busted into a restricted zone before, and wanted to try.
- Dunn: Uh... You're kidding, right?
- Dunn: *sigh* If only Madam Cocolia hadn't... Hadn't needed to sacrifice herself to save Belobog. What a noble woman.
- Dunn: I hope Lady Bronya can inherit her iron will...
- (Upon completing Trailblaze Continuance Future Market (II))
The problem with the IPC has been taken care of.
- Dunn: Yeah, I heard. Thankfully Lady Bronya didn't sign that agreement.
- Dunn: Although the Silvermane Guards still do not fully trust those people dressed in black, I believe that we are now on the correct path.
Why do you say that?
You were quite worked up about it before.- Dunn: Naturally, we cannot accept an unequal treaty from those people dressed in black. However, I admit that without their technology, the revival of Belobog would be extremely difficult.
- Dunn: Today we have shown our determination to rebuild our home. This cooperation was won by us. It was not their charity.
- Dunn: Of course, we cannot rule out the possibility of them backing out of this. The Silvermane Guards will be monitoring their movements closely.
- Dunn: If they really are conspiring against Belobog, I will alert the Supreme Guardian immediately.
