Empathetic Cupcake

It was my tenth birthday. Halfway through the birthday song, the cake on the table started making a ruckus. It smeared its frosting to draw a pair of glasses, then began lecturing us about its ingredients and nutritional value. After that, it started advertising for its manufacturer.
The Department of Aberration Defense slapped seals on every cake. They said this Aberration came from the Phantasmoon Games that had just ended, and that they'd destroy every last terrifying cake. But I just couldn't bear to part with it, so I secretly hid a slice in the refrigerator. It was my best friend, but every time we had a heart-to-heart, it would urge me to eat it.
