Galba: Well, well, isn't this the (young lad/young lady) who's always with Phainon? Rare to see you wandering around alone.

Galba: Here, try some smoked meat I made this morning — coated it with wild honey. Smells amazing, perfect for young folks like you.

This is delicious! You got more?

Galba: Hahaha, you bet! You can eat as much as you want.

Galba: This [sic] from a deer I bagged last week — real tender meat. Would've been even better fresh out of the pot... too bad you missed it.

Galba: Next time, I'll let you try my fried fish. Bet you've never tasted anything like it!

Do you remember what Phainon was like as a kid?

Galba: Haha, come on now. He's still pretty much a kid, isn't he? But yeah... when he was younger, he was a lot like my little rascal at home.

Galba: Boys are all the same — heads full of hero stories, always dreaming of saving the world. Don't let his serious face fool you. He used to roll around the wheat fields with a branch...

Galba: By the way, if you wanna learn how to catch field mice, he's the one to ask. That kid's got real skills.

I've got to do somthing else. Gotta get moving first.

Galba: Sure. Come by again when you've got time.

Phainon's Memory

Galba: Phainon! Good timing. Have you seen Piso around?

Did Piso tick you off again?

Galba: You bet! His teacher came knocking, said the little rascal's been skipping class lately.

Galba: I was about to have a real talk with him, but to my surprise, he vanished first thing this morning. Must've known what was coming and ran off early.

He might be over by the granary...

Galba: Got it. I'll go drag him back in a bit. Thanks for the heads-up.

I haven't seen him today.

Galba: No problem. I'll keep looking. Not heading into the woods today anyway... Hmph, he thinks he can outrun me?

Galba: *sigh* That little scamp... If only he were half as easy to deal with as you...

About the upcoming trip...

Galba: You guys set a date to head out yet? I caught some fat rabbits the other day, and they're all cured and ready. Make sure you swing by to grab them before you leave.

I... I haven't made up my mind yet...

Galba: No worries. I get it. Take your time. No need to rush it.

Galba: But if you had to ask... it's a big world out there. Worth seeing a bit of it. I've hunted all my life, but I bet the birds caught in my snares have seen more than I ever will.

It'll probably be soon.

Galba: Haha, alright. Once you've picked a day, let me know. I'll walk you to the ferry myself.

Galba: If you ask me, I'd say young folks should go out there and see the world themselves. It's gotta be better than staying stuck here forever.

Galba: And when you get tired, just come home. The smoke in the village always rises earlier than Aquila.

Galba: Go on then. I've got a certain brat to hunt down myself.

Galba: *sigh*... If only my Piso could be half as well-behaved as Phainon.

Piso: I knew it, Dad's gonna make fun of me again.

Pythias: Heh, Piso, weren't you always going on and on about Phainon before? Why so shy about it now?

Piso: Mrs. Pythias, that's not true. I didn't say any of that!

Livia: I can vouch for that! You bring him up several times a day. You even said when Phainon comes back... you'll make him tell you all about his adventures from these past years!

Piso: Uh... let him finish his honey suncake first, and then he'll have the energy to tell his stories!
