The man seems displeased at you disturbing him. He stares at you silently for a considerable while before opening his mouth to speak.

Mellon: Do you know what the greatest thing about the Dreamflux Reef is? The peace and quiet.

Mellon: There are no horns blaring constantly, no flashing lights, and no walking billboards to hassle you.

Mellon: Honestly, I just finished planting in my fields and was searching for a quiet place to take a breather...

You can farm in a dream?

Mellon: Is that strange? The Family builds buildings in the dream.

I want to farm too!

Mellon: Oh, you're interested in farming, too? This is rare.

Mellon: Though we may not be as professional as Dreamweavers, all it takes is firm determination and anyone can mold the Dreamscape into the vision they desire. First you do this, then you do that...

The man excitedly reels off hundreds of things to look out for when farming in the Dreamscape.

Mellon: Phew, it's rare to find someone willing to listen to me sharing all of this... No one in the dream enjoys farming. But it seems that you could be someone I could work with!

Mellon: My name is Mellon. If you're interested in farming, you're welcome to come and discuss it with me whenever you please.

Mellon: I actually don't have any plants to tend to at the moment. What do you want to talk about?

I want to talk about your fields.

Mellon: My fields... They're located outside the Dreamflux Reef city, in a remote corner of the Dreamscape... I originally wanted to find land in the Moment of Oasis, but the Hounds refused me.

Mellon: Those popular dream areas don't have enough space to allow people fields to farm in... Places like the Golden Hour have long since been filled up by giant buildings.

Mellon: Of course, you have to pay attention to the laws of The Family if you want to plant fields in a dream. The time in the Twelve Hours is frozen, and crops will only grow in the Dreamflux Reef.

Mellon's brows furrow into a frown, like the raised banks of a cultivated field.; Mellon: The only reason I am so passionate about hard labor like this is because I was born on a farming planet. The environment there is poor and new fields must be cultivated constantly and carefully to avoid famine.; Mellon: Ever since we were integrated into the Interstellar trade network, all land that could be used for farming has been paved over with highways and the IPC has taken over our food supplies. There is no more risk of hunger and no more land is worth farming.; Mellon: Unfortunately, factories are nowhere near as comforting to work in as the fields. I joined the IPC and travelled the universe just so that I could find a place to live a quiet life...; Mellon: What I did not expect is that basically every planet in the pan-cosmic market has been completely developed, and the few remaining areas of untouched land are ecotourism areas with ridiculous prices... It's only inside a dream that I can find free, untouched land.; Mellon: Tsk... I just want to experience a simple, traditional life. Why should that be so hard!?

Mellon: ...That reminds me, there was a Pepeshi person who was very curious about farming before, too. He even excitedly asked me to show him around the field.
