The reflection of Penacony cast upon the deep. The "Nightmare" professed by The Family. However, what people don't know is that this primordial Memory Zone is the true form of the Dreamscape.
Dreamflux Reef is an area in Penacony's Dreamscape, unlocked during Trailblaze Mission Small Town Grotesque.
Lore
Dreamflux Reef was created by Orla, to shelter dreamweavers who, at the time faced mass prosecution from The Family. It is therefor hidden, typically only acessable through Something Unto Death, a Memory Zone Meme created by Gallagher. It acts as a safe space for people who don't belong in The Family's dreamscape, so that everyone has a place in the dream. Dreamflux Reef is the final rest place of The Watchmaker.

Fallen Billboard
- (Standard dialogue)
Investigate
- Miss Billboard is gracefully laid in the embrace of Mr. Shelf. They have lost themselves in each other's hard, unyielding bodies and are blocking your path ahead.
- Over here is Sir Trashbag. He has bid farewell to the warmth of this trashcan to protect Miss Billboard.
- Behind is Mr. Shelf. He is holding Miss Billboard, who fell from the sky, in his arms. They have experienced quite an intense encounter and the romantic situation has left them a little flustered
Tip of the Water Drop
- (First interaction)
- Water is the source of all life and the cradle of civilization... It is soaking the dry ground below, drip-by-drip, right before your eyes.
- As the years pass, some stars will be extinguished and others will be born. This small and moist patch of land will also see life bloom — life that only belongs to this place.
- When the scientists of this small puddle come to trace their history and look up to the heavens, would they be moved by the miracle that originated from a single broken water pipe?
- When that time comes, the water in this pipe is sure to be heralded as a divine object and become almost impossible to obtain.
- If that's the case, why not take a drop for yourself now? In a few Amber Eras, it could make you a millionaire.
- (Obtain

Solid Water ×1)
- (Subsequent interactions)
- Literature scholars believe that this water pipe cries day after day, perhaps in mourning for a lover lost in war.
- Ecologists believe that keeping the ground constantly wet is likely a way for water pipes to mark their territory.
- Some scholars believe that this leaky water pipe must be a fan of Clockie, as it maintains a steady "ticking" rhythm.
World Behind the Door
- (Standard dialogue)
World Behind the Door
- The world behind the scarlet door is similar to what one might find in a Grady Films R-rated movie. It could be a horror film, or perhaps...
- The slight crack in this door has been intentionally left open. The red light that spills forth must be an invitation from some evil entity. You must control your curiosity for the sake of your soul.
- I wonder what's behind the door? A Wubbaboo? A dragon? Lord Ravager? A great Aeon...? Every door inside the Dreamscape holds unlimited possibilities, it would be best not to go opening them lightly.
TV
- (Standard dialogue)
TV
- There is an old television that is still playing cartoons. The dark, dim window makes it clear that no one has been here for some time.
- All of these televisions have broken from age, except one that is still playing an episode of Clockie that was aired years ago on repeat.
- "Tick-tock, help me! I've been locked inside a television!"
- Was that really Clockie's line? You must have misheard...
Map
- (Standard dialogue)
Map
- So what if it has suffered years of dust and corrosion? So what if it has been buried beneath a dream? So what if it has lost its original master? From this blueprint, you can still sense the majesty that once belonged to the city.
- Seeing how things are now, the sight of these two towers on the map leaves quite the impression. Back then, the Watchmaker must have peeked through the crack between them to glance at the future of this dream.
- You suddenly remember the three Nameless resting atop the building. If you get time, you should go back and share stories of you trailblazing expedition with them more often.
Couch
Clockie Mark
Mark
- (First interaction)
- In this remote corner, you discover traces of an old friend.
- The picture is pretty accurate, with a nose but no eyes, and the two clock hands are almost masterfully drawn.
- Of course, you can't rule out that the graffiti has been used to replace road signs and signposts in hopes of luring travelers to some kind of secret area...
- (Subsequent interactions)
- What is the relationship between Clockie and the directions indicated? Perhaps the answer to this question is hidden nearby.
- Clockie is up ahead.
- Look! There's a searchlight that looks like a trashcan!... Or maybe it is a miniature trashcan that lights up?
Elevator Clockie Mark
F1 Railing
Investigate
- The giant Clockie here is this street's proud landmark. Children from other neighborhoods all look upon it with great envy.
- The citizens see cleaning and maintaining this statue as a part of their lives. The giant Clockie must see this as a part of its life, too.
- Beautiful dreams are always sure to fade away under the corrosion of nightmares, but Clockie's smile is eternal.
- Clockie's finger is pointing towards the sky, but the skies of Dreamflux Reef are obscured by the lights of dreams.
- Does he want you to look up in admiration of the beauty of the dreams? Or is he mocking their hypocrisy? Or, perhaps he's guiding you upwards in search of the secrets of this place?
- It is a common plot in a lot of movies and video games that a statue like this will rise up and face you in glorious battle.
Highrise's Edge
- (Standard dialogue)
Highrise's Edge
- Even inside the Dreamscape, dangerous designs like missing guardrails are classic examples of what not to do.
- Inside the Primordial Dreamscape, you may not be as fortunate when falling from a great height as you would be in a dream. Be cautious.
- Break free from the shackles of the guardrails and take in the beautiful vistas of the city... Make sure you share this advice with all of your friends that are scared of heights!
Manhole Covers
Memoria Black Hole
Memoria Black Hole
- A black-hole-esque structure spawned from the loss of memoria is ravenously feasting on an already-destitute world.
- Thought devoid of any substance, it still exhibits the appearance of gravitational collapse in the dream — what irony.
- In the distant past, the Dreamweavers used to gather here, myriad wondrous ideas conjured among cascades of jovial banter.
- The most outstanding people died for it, and the most brilliant of souls were born because of it.
Balloon
- (Standard dialogue)
Balloon
- Drawing on a balloon is a true art. One slip of the pen, and it will glide across the surface, leading children to imagine all sorts of things.
- Do you want a balloon? I have all different colored balloons here, floating silently like me.
- Perhaps they aren't balloons at all, but souls that were captured by an evil sorcerer, suspended in the depths of time, awaiting a new scapegoat.
- Apparently, there is a group of balloon people that live high above the vast sky. They spend their whole lives floating upwards until they eventually explode.
Flyer
- (Standard dialogue)
Flyer
- "The appearance of memes across Dreamflux Reef has increased lately due to Penacony's impact. Please make sure to steer clear of the outskirts during your daily travels."
- "The Dreamscape is not The Family's pet. Stop taming the beautiful dreams and unchain sleep!"
- "The Oaks' brains are made of Oak, the Nightingales only know how to move stones, the Iris have statues but no shame, the Alfalfa only knows the money game, the Hounds have less morals than a dog, the entire Family is a disgusting bog!"
- "Life is hopeless and dreams are dull. You want a carnival of excitement? Come and try Li'l Lottie's banned Memory Bubbles! They're all hardcore products, unapproved by The Family. They'll make you feel so good you wake up!"
Billboard
- (Standard dialogue)
Billboard
- Clearly the original owner of this billboard has tried their hardest to squeeze it in here, but you cannot fit an elephant into a fridge, can you?
- Don't you think it would be awesome to run around slaying your enemies with a billboard?
- With just one more glance, you've already come up with five potential names and twenty-one finishing moves for this great weapon.
- This is a billboard, but it may also be a sacred Memory Zone sword that fell into the Primordial Dreamscape. Even a cosmic hero like yourself has no way of drawing it.
Red Graffiti
- (Standard dialogue)
Red Graffiti
- On the wall's limited space, the striking paints clash for supremacy, like some kind of rainbow gang war.
- Rude graffiti covers what was written here before. A sense of rage and resentment emanates from the bright red paint.
- This graffiti artist of this piece stands out among their contemporaries through their Aeonic skill! The red is so domineering! With a single stroke, they have turned Harmony's slogan into a work of satirical art. Even the most punk of the Punklordian hackers would have no choice but to bow to their rebellious superiority.
City Vagrants
Little Sun Graffiti Board
- (Standard dialogue)
Little Sun Graffiti Board
- "I shall gift my beloved sun to everyone. Please, I hope you will help my parents' business."
- The paper is wrinkled from the caress of someone who longs for the sun.
- A gloomy dream will never feel the illumination of the stars' light, but the simple brush can create its own sun.
- This is the Dreamscape. If we are able to keep within us the innocence of a child, perhaps someday in the future, the graffiti can become an actual sun.
Neon Billboard
Investigate
- "Though the streets are crowded and the world has so much to see, you are the only one for me."
- Couple always post a phrase like this when they take pictures here. Mr. Billboard, who is still single, can't help but turn his nose up at the words.
- Before he was broken, Mr. Billboard was the biggest paramour on this street.
- But the woman that he loved left in search of fortune and prosperity, leaving only the green glow of grief behind.
- Mr. Billboard still remembers the day he was posted... Petals were scattered across the streets, and birds woven from dreams sang their songs throughout the alleyways.
- Even the soon-to-be all-powerful Watchmaker could not praise the scenery here enough.
Movie Poster
Investigate
- Dreams of Glory is an ensemble drama that tells the magnificent history of how the five lineages transformed a prison world into the Planet of Festivities.
- ...Judging from this bright-red paint, it does not seem that it scored a particularly good reception at Dreamflux Reef...
- The aged movie poster has some classic Penaconian characteristics in terms of its art style.
- You're just not quite sure if the red graffiti and bullet holes are part of the art style, too?
- Some people say that Dreams of Glory overly idealizes the role that The Family played in history and that many of the storylines are completely fabricated.
- Of course, it's just a small number of people. Very small.
Monument
- (Standard dialogue)
Monument
- A monument for three Nameless. The heroes' names are etched nigh illegibly across small steles.
- Carved on the left flank of the stele's surface, is Razalina Jane Estella. She reached for the stars, eventually returning to them.
- The right flank of the stele belongs to Breukelen Tiernan. This cowboy, often accompanied by gunpowder smoke, burned bright till his final moments.
- The nameless stele in the middle belongs to the founder of dreams: The Watchmaker. The maker's needle finally counted down, pointing forever toward the path forward at twelve o'clock.
A Child's Moongazing Spot
A Child's Moongazing Spot
- A serene moongazing spot. When that old person stares at the moonlight, one wonders what thoughts shimmer in his mind?
- A nemesis of old casts warm radiance on the old person, as always.
- You can hear the Odes of Harmony from the distant light — even the most glorious concerto is akin to a lullaby in the watery abyss.

- (Approach gang members behind the fence, idle text)
- Gang Member: Darn it, the goods got robbed.
Listen
- Gang Member: Darn it, those were darn good products and the robbers took 'em all!
- Gang Member: I was too careless. I shouldn't have fallen for such an obvious trap.
- Gang Boss: It's fine as long as our people are still around. We can find a way to produce another batch of dream bubbles.
- Gang Boss: One day, we'll have them pay back everything that belongs to us... Twofold!
- (Approach the people near the elevator, idle text)
- Timid Woman: Bro, I'm scared to rob them...
- Apprehensive Man: They look tough...
Listen
- Apprehensive Man: I thought we agreed on this? When the elevator door opens, you go and distract them and I'll knock them out?
- Timid Woman: Bro, it's not that I'm a coward. I just really don't think I should try robbing that person...
- Apprehensive Man: What are you so scared for? Look, I'll give you a demonstration... Man, they sure look kinda tough...
- Timid Woman: Maybe we should just forget it?
- (Approach the people on the bridge south of Timesplit Square, idle text)
- Uneasy Local: The Watchmaker is gone, we should...
- Enraged Local: We have to... take over Penacony.
Listen
- Uneasy Local: The Watchmaker is gone. There is no one to protect us anymore. Don't you think we should leave?
- Enraged Local: Why should we leave? It's those insatiable thugs that should leave!
- Enraged Local: If we let them keep corrupting this place, one day there won't be a single dream bubble left in this city!
- Enraged Local: We need to seize the moment and counterattack Penacony. At this point, it's either their death or ours!
- (Approach the Intellitrons in the southeast of Timesplit Square, idle text)
- Confused Intellitron: The emotional appeal of organic beings...
- Empathetic Intellitron: What a beautiful space-time distortion...
Listen
- Confused Intellitron: The more dangerous a place, the more they are fascinated by it. Is this what organic beings mean by "emotional appeal"?
- Empathetic Intellitron: From a physiological point of view, a beautiful end that they must traverse a crisis to reach is more likely to provide them with more positive emotional feedback.
- Empathetic Intellitron: What's more, the distortion of this space is inherently beautiful. It maintains its stability with remarkable precision and exhibits smooth and sleek properties.
- Confused Intellitron: I see... Thank you, my understanding of organic beings has increased considerably.
- (Approach the people in the west of Timesplit Square, idle text)
- Strolling Local: How did you get here?
- Immersed Intellitron: I confessed my love to a beautiful meme...
Listen
- Strolling Local: Now there's a fresh face! How did you come to be here, young man?
- Immersed Intellitron: It was a long time ago... Back then, I came across a beautiful meme in an alleyway. It had countless eyes and beautiful, streamlined claws that got my engine racing.
- Immersed Intellitron: As I walked towards it, I began to read an ancient inorganic being love poem to it. Hearing this, it shyly approached me and grabbed me close.
- Immersed Intellitron: Then I found myself here.
- Strolling Local: ...
- (Approach the graffiti artists near Auto Band, idle text)
- Silent Pepeshi: I keep feeling that something's missing...
- Excited Graffiti Artist: This is the art I'm pursuing!
- Pepeshi Slacker: When can I pack up?
Listen
- Silent Pepeshi: I still feel like something is missing. I've got so many emotions boiling up that it feels like the aftermath of a neutron bomb. I just can't express it properly.
- Pepeshi Slacker: Can we pack up for the day?
- Excited Graffiti Artist: Freedom! Being truly unrestrained! This is the ultimate form of art that I pursue! Let all constraints imposed by The Family be given unto the Antimatter Legion!
- Pepeshi Slacker: So... is anyone listening to me? When can we pack up?
- (Approach the attendants near Jessie's Shack, idle text)
- Excited Attendant: Finally, no more work!
- Worried Attendant: But where will we get money?
Listen
- Excited Attendant: I finally don't have to work anymore! Clocking in? Performance assessments? You can all do one!
- Worried Attendant: But where will we get money? Our savings will run out eventually...
- Excited Attendant: We'll take it a day at a time. You see those stowaways over there? They're not working and they seem to be doing just fine, don't they?
- Worried Attendant: Well, they're not going to let us see the stowaways that didn't survive, are they...
- (Approach the customers near Jessie's Shack, idle text)
- Depressed Customer: We've got tough times ahead...
- Carefree Customer: No need to overthink it. Have another drink.
Listen
- Depressed Customer: The Dreamscape hasn't been a peaceful place lately... The Family is in chaos and the Watchmaker is gone.
- Depressed Customer: If the IPC takes this opportunity to seize the place, times ahead will be tough for us here...
- Carefree Customer: What are you doing thinking about all that? It's not like it's something either of us can change.
- Carefree Customer: Why drown in sorrows when you can drown yourself with a good drink!
- (Obtain

"Calm" Gear ×1, first time only)
- (Approach the people east of Timesplit Square, idle text)
- Complaining Pepeshi: I used to be with the Alfalfa...
- Sympathetic Man: We're not much better.
Listen
- Complaining Pepeshi: If you ask me, working as an Alfalfa is the stupidest thing I've ever done.
- Complaining Pepeshi: We've even got a gamble going on over there to see how many people are gonna jump next month! It's a dream after all. Who cares about anyone else's well-being?
- Sympathetic Man: Tell me about it. Look at us in the Iris family. We all look like glamorous stars and famous singers...
- Sympathetic Man: But how many of us can actually become big stars? No one ever cares about us supporting roles or the attendants in the canteen...
- Complaining Pepeshi: Yeah, life here is way more comfortable.
- (Obtain

"Calm" Gear ×1, first time only)
- (Approach the people near the Slumbertown Space Anchor, idle text)
- Soon-To-Be Traveler: I am about to leave the Dreamscape forever.
- Joyful Neighbor: Really? Then you need a good send-off!
Listen
- Soon-To-Be Traveler: I got a great new job recently. I'll soon be able to leave this Dreamscape forever.
- Joyful Neighbor: Really? I never would have thought you'd be the first of us to make it, kid... I guess every dream has to end with waking up eventually.
- Joyful Neighbor: We have to call everyone together and give you a good send-off!
