"Fallen Twilight City" Okhema
- Zeno: Dear Parmenides, I won't plague you with strange questions anymore — just one: Why don't you flee?
- Parmenides: Ha, Zeno, my old friend! Since you show concern, I'll answer: I believe souls endure, finding new vessels in the Era Nova. Why don't you flee?
- Zeno: Contrary to you, I think souls depend on flesh – death scatters both. Fleeing's meaningless.
- Parmenides: Oh, wise listener – why don't you flee?
I fear nothing.- Where can I run to?
- Parmenides: Then let us hear the final debate between these two rhetoric teachers. Such gravely mistaken views mustn't be allowed to poison the afterlife.
Oh, I almost forgot. I'll start fleeing now.- Parmenides: I must declare that the soul is but a form, and the body is merely its material vessel. If souls don't exist, what converses with me now? Where do your senses dwell, your thoughts reside, your actions originate?
- Zeno: The answer lies precisely within the flesh, Parmenides! My ears hear your voice, my eyes behold your form. When you spout nonsense, blood burns my cheeks with secondhand shame.
- Parmenides: Yet priests and the Chrysos Heirs often claim to see souls. How would you explain this?
- Yeah...
- This worldview does allow us to see souls.
- I've seen them too.
- Zeno: Those unfeeling, unresponsive reflections of the past differ not from your own reflection in the mirror.
- Zeno: Indivisible particles compose our world and bodies. Their movements, order and combinations follow patterns, not infinite possibilities.
- Zeno: Thoughts, desires, actions — what we call "soul" is but predetermined permutations of possibilities.
- Parmenides: How pitiful if you're fated to entertain such absurd notions! If souls don't exist, who dictates these possibilities? Who chooses our fates?
- The gods?
- Ourselves?
- Or just by random chance?
- Parmenides: No — the soul! As a form, it's the cause and purpose of our existence and actions. It defines our being, actualizing the body's latent potential to become ourselves.
- Zeno: Preposterous! Look around — the world shatters, time derails. Yet here we await death through sophistry. Your soul must be pickled in honey brew to seek such actualization!
- Parmenides: Yours is pickled! The natural form isn't like soap, it will not produce colorful bubbles. Add more salt to harden your reasoning.
- Zeno: You dare lecture me? My trimmed nails caused hair loss during last haircut. Provoke me, and I'll show you the wrath of a dromas!
- ...What are you guys talking about?
- No fighting, please.
- Kind words form friendly bonds, and harsh ones break the heart.
- Zeno: Ah, what's happening? Why are we talking... such nonsense?
- Parmenides: Likely due to Cerces' fall, reason and logic has grown unstable.
- Zeno: Then why debate? At this point, we have nowhere left to go.
- Parmenides: Indeed, nowhere.
- Zeno: Only this remains certain.

lady)~ Would you like to hear another song from Lipos? - Misia: Greetings, heroes of deliverance. Thank you all for composing a new symphony of hope for Amphoreus. It's a pity I don't have a water lyre with me right now, or I could have accompanied little Master Lipos with a tune.

- It's fine. I like listening to the a cappella version.
- Lipos: Since we're fortunate enough to reunite here, this moment calls for some new stanzas to be composed. I heard that you've had some new insights, Zeno...
- Zeno: Ah... Though peace and beauty reign eternal here, a doubt still lingers: Like a ship whose parts have all been replaced, does this world, reassembled, still retain its essence? And we who dwell within it, are our souls still the same as before...?
- Parmenides: What are you mumbling about? You're still talking nonsense, just like old times.
- Zeno: You still haven't grasped my meaning, old friend. Look, this world is no longer what it used to be. All the chaos of human existence has turned to mist, and all that remains here is eternal tranquility, frozen in stillness...
- Parmenides: But if you ask me, you exist, and therefore noises do, too. The world has never been peaceful or silent.
- Lipos: Heh, these two haven't changed a bit... I have been getting plenty of material from them lately. Even Master Hesiod couldn't help but laugh at my latest poems!
- Lipos: Oh right... I'm writing a collection of poems about you and the heroes, so your deeds can be passed down through the ages... For the prologue's inscription, I was thinking of asking Master Hesiod to compose it. What do you think?

- Parmenides was a 5th century BC philosopher known for his work "On Nature," which discusses reality, truth and existence. He was also the teacher of Zeno.
