Dialogue
"Eternal Holy City" Okhema
- (First interaction)
- Misia: Hello, kind listener. I hope my music will ease your fatigued spirits.
- Misia: My current name is Misia. As you can see, I am neither a silver-spooned noble nor a purse-heavy merchant, just an ordinary musician who finds joy in melodic pastimes.
- Misia: Mm... You haven't left. Are you still curious about something?
This instrument is...
- Misia: A water lyre, an instrument powered by flowing water. It's huge in size and must be placed in a location near a water source.
- Misia: ...I thought to give you a more elaborate introduction, but I suddenly remembered that there is only one such water lyre left, even in Okhema. It's pointless to tell you more about the instrument.
Your hometown is...
- Misia: Hee... News does travel faster than music. You were there as well just now, and I suppose you must have heard some things.
- Misia: Carmitis... That is not a city's name, but what we call the bay where we live. It is a beautiful place with clear contours and vibrant colors. Its splendor is akin to a painting of Mnestia.
- Misia: The waves crash against rocks, that is the very first music made. We collect these sounds and weave them into melodies.
- Misia: The Okhemans call it a water lyre. But to us, it is an ordinary lyre. I thought these intricate devices were long devoured by the black tide. I never thought I'd see one here.
I just want to enjoy some good music.
- Misia: Then please find a safe spot to rest. It's too close to the water here. Your clothes might get wet.
- (Subsequent interactions)
- Misia: Greetings, kind listener. You have been listening to this music for quite a while. Do you feel anything special?
I can hear your longing for home.
- Misia: ...My home, hmm? Perhaps, but the way I see it, it isn't a place that needs to be thought about, rather to seek out.
- Misia: Carmitis is a place blessed by Mnestia. Even if no one lives there now, its art, romance, and beauty won't fade. As long as there is someplace where this melody is played, it is home enough for me.
I can hear your sorrow.
- Misia: ...Sorrow, was it? I do admit that when I first arrived in Okhema, I was a little anxious. A tiny shelter built beneath the sky that is borne by the omniscient, omnipotent Kephale. Would there be a place for me here? I did not know.
- Misia: As I was fleeing, I witnessed too many farewells. The horizons of art are boundless, but its musicians can only eke a living in this narrow space between heaven and earth. Perhaps it is because of this mindset that my playing is inevitably tinged with sorrow.
I can hear your joy.
- Misia: ...Joy, was it? That's hard to say. I play for the guests enjoying their baths. If my music was too melancholic, it might sour some of their moods. After all, this music is merely for entertainment, unworthy to be called true art.
- Misia: But, it is my honor for you to have felt joy.
I can hear your hope.
- Misia: ...Aspirations, huh. That is only natural. If we do not cling to the hopes of tomorrow's dawn, how will we even endure this long night? Even if Okhema cannot be invaded by darkness, we should not forget to have faith in our hearts.
- Misia: We've spoken a little much. If emotions could only be conveyed through words, the musician would have failed at their duty. So I ask that you find a safe spot and continue to enjoy this water lyre's melodies.

Listen- Finely-dressed Woman: ...A water lyre? I've seen it before — it's a signature instrument of Carmitis. According to records, Carmitis was a distant city blessed by Mnestia. All her residents were artistic prodigies.
- Man in a Bathrobe: Alas, Carmitis disappeared a long time ago, along with those precious arts long lost to time. This water lyre has been here for a long time, unable to secure a worthy musician to play it.
- Finely-dressed Woman: Beautiful things are destroyed easily, and art is always accompanied by misery. Mnestia's blessing is also a curse.
- Silent Lady: ...
- Silent Lady: Maybe I can try playing it.
- Man in a Bathrobe: For real? Go try it out.
- Silent Lady: But... Hmm... It should be fine. Let me try.
- After some simple tuning, the water lyre slowly emits a lovely sound.
- Silent Lady: Phew, looks like I still haven't lost the skills that Mother taught me.
- Silent Lady: Dear guests, if you don't mind, allow me to play a piece with this water lyre for everyone. I may not be able to perform at a level told in stories, but it should suffice as post-bath entertainment.
"Fallen Twilight City" Okhema
- Misia: Everything has ended, everything is fading away.
- Misia: The ballads we once sang, those melodies preserving our longing, happiness, sorrow, and love, will all fade into oblivion...
- Misia: Before that time comes, please listen to this final melody.
Why are you still performing?
- Misia: When the black tide consumed Carmitis, the musicians remained calm, playing their water-soaked harps and performing passionate melodies with the waves surging through the streets.
- Misia: If ocean waves were the world's first music, it would be too cruel to accompany the world's end with nothing but weeping.
- Misia: At a time like this, perhaps only music can cover the meaningless background noise and transform pointless deaths into an epic, magnificent finale.
You should hurry to find shelter.
- Misia: Thank you for your concern, kind listener.
- Misia: But no musical score ends without a rest mark, and all beauty must crystallize into eternity through its own destruction.
- Misia: I'm tired of living in fear, hiding from place to place. Now, I just want to rest in this music, waiting for the final moment to come.
What do you think about the "Era Nova"?
- Misia: At first, they claimed Mnestia would protect Carmitis from the black tide. Then, they promised Okhema would never be touched by the dark night...
- Misia: Empty hope is poisonous. At this point, I dare not expect too much.
- Misia: However, though music repeats itself, each performance, each key change and variation creates new movements.
- Misia: Rather than having music replayed exactly the same way, it's better to look forward to what new melodies people will write in the future.

- Lipos: Thank the fates for guiding us to meet again, my dear (sir/
lady)~ Would you like to hear another song from Lipos? - Misia: Greetings, heroes of deliverance. Thank you all for composing a new symphony of hope for Amphoreus. It's a pity I don't have a water lyre with me right now, or I could have accompanied little Master Lipos with a tune.
It's so good to see you all again...
It's fine. I like listening to the a cappella version.- Lipos: Since we're fortunate enough to reunite here, this moment calls for some new stanzas to be composed. I heard that you've had some new insights, Zeno...
- Zeno: Ah... Though peace and beauty reign eternal here, a doubt still lingers: Like a ship whose parts have all been replaced, does this world, reassembled, still retain its essence? And we who dwell within it, are our souls still the same as before...?
- Parmenides: What are you mumbling about? You're still talking nonsense, just like old times.
- Zeno: You still haven't grasped my meaning, old friend. Look, this world is no longer what it used to be. All the chaos of human existence has turned to mist, and all that remains here is eternal tranquility, frozen in stillness...
- Parmenides: But if you ask me, you exist, and therefore noises do, too. The world has never been peaceful or silent.
- Lipos: Heh, these two haven't changed a bit... I have been getting plenty of material from them lately. Even Master Hesiod couldn't help but laugh at my latest poems!
- Lipos: Oh right... I'm writing a collection of poems about you and the heroes, so your deeds can be passed down through the ages... For the prologue's inscription, I was thinking of asking Master Hesiod to compose it. What do you think?
