Dialogue

(First interaction)
Poseman: Just look! Look at the kinds of people that come here.
Poseman: There are daydreamers escaping from reality, liars and hypocrites, and tantrums from squabblers desperate for comfort... That's right. What kind of dependable person would ever venture into a dream?
Poseman: By my reckoning, Penacony is a huge trashcan filled with losers from all over the universe — who turned into babies the second they come across the slightest setback.
Poseman: Spent too long in a place like this, and you'll start to degenerate without realizing... Do you understand? Your thoughts, your emotions — everything is blunted by over-indulgent and in the end you'll become useless!
Icon Dialogue Arrow So what should we do, then?
Icon Dialogue Arrow Everything you said was true...
Poseman: Don't think I can't tell that's biting sarcasm. You've already started to endorse this kind of lifestyle from the bottom of your heart, haven't you?
Icon Dialogue Arrow (Remain silent)
Poseman: Entertainment is a grand waste of the universe's resources, and disrespectful to the hard work of everyday people! Places like Penacony should've been shut down a long time ago!
Poseman: Think about it: How many civilizations has this universe spawned? And how many have star-faring capabilities? How many actually make the pivotal choice to set out on an intergalactic journey?
Poseman: Anyone with a chance to leave their homeworld behind and explore the universe has either one-in-a-billion luck, or has paid a price unfathomable to ordinary people. I am one of the latter.
Poseman: I studied painstakingly for decades to leave my home system before finally entering the hallowed realm of the Intelligentsia Guild — and just looked at the people here. What have they done with this hard-earned opportunity of theirs? Live out a life of debauchery!
Poseman: Your home planets puts all these efforts into raising you out of hope that you can build it up — not for your wanton pleasure!
Poseman: ...How can these people not understand such simple truths!?
Icon Dialogue Arrow I'm different. I don't have a home planet.
Poseman: ...
The man fall silent before shooting you a complicated look with his eyes. It is impossible to tell whether it is a look of pity, or wonder.
Poseman: Notwithstanding that being the case... Let's stop bickering about it. Go, do whatever you want to do.
Icon Dialogue Arrow Your life must be very unhappy indeed.
Poseman: You, I... that's a personal attack!
His hair and brow knitted together in a rage, taking quite some time before they unfurl.
Poseman: ...Hmm, I'm not stooping to your level! I'm a member of the Intelligentsia Guild and ought to maintain self-discipline...
Poseman: Youngster, there's always a pathway back... That's all I can say to you.
Icon Dialogue Arrow Ah yes, hmm, I see.
Poseman: ...
The man sank into a long silence and could only reply to you with a look.
That look seemed to be saying: I'm afraid you've lost your mind.

(Subsequent interactions)
Poseman: Ah, it'd be a miracle to see any success through fuddling about in a drunken stupor like this all day.
Icon Dialogue Talk Lots of guests have already succeeded.
Poseman: Ah, about that... Er...
Poseman: I—If they weren't obsessed with minutiae, then they could be even greater successes making even greater achievements — every second wasted on leisure is another minute lost that you could have devoted to saving the universe.
Poseman: All I can say is, those who get it REALLY get it, and those who don't... Well, it's no use carving rotten wood, is it?
Icon Dialogue Exit Ignore him.
Poseman: Youngster, there's always a pathway back... That's all I can say to you.

Post-Mission

(After completing Adventure Mission Clockwork: Poseman)
(First interaction)
Poseman: Oh, it's you. My friend! Check it out. What do you think about my new look?
Icon Dialogue Arrow It's pretty cool.
Poseman: Ha, of course it is! I only put this outfit together after asking several friends about it first.
Icon Dialogue Arrow It's pretty basic.
Poseman: R—Really? I think it's fine, and a few fashionable friends all thought it was fine, too...
Icon Dialogue Arrow It's a... big change.
Poseman: Really? I made a point to ask a few friends who understand fashion.
Poseman: Seeing as I've decided to stay here in Penacony, my style has to be in line with those here.
Poseman: If you get the chance later on, you might just get to see a few more of my fits~

(Subsequent interactions)
(If Poseman's Emotion is set to Calm)
Poseman: Only a few days left... Gotta really seize the tail end of this vacation...
Icon Dialogue Talk How's your vacation going?
Poseman: Oh, I've still got some work to do over at the guild. I put all the annual leave that I'd been saving up into this trip to Penacony — just twenty days or so.
Poseman: I thought it'd be plenty of time in which to see the dreamscape, but after playing here for a while I've realized... time really is like an arrow — oh, how fast its flies.
Poseman: However, if I were still as sulky as before, I'm guessing that I'd probably have had a disappointing time...
Icon Dialogue Exit Have fun.
Poseman: Mmm, you have fun too.

(If Poseman's Emotion is set to Angry)
Poseman: Give it to me! Give me something more fun!
Icon Dialogue Exit Have fun.

(If Poseman's Emotion is set to Happy)
Poseman: I'd be better off never waking up at all... Never waking at all...
Icon Dialogue Exit Have fun.

(If Poseman's Emotion is set to Sad)
Poseman: Save the children! Save the future of the universe!
Icon Dialogue Exit Have fun.

Clockwork

Icon Dialogue Clockwork Activate Clockwork
Icon Clockwork Calm Calm
Poseman: Tsk... I was really out of character just then. I'm not usually moody like this at all.
Poseman: This reminds me though of an artist who I met a long time ago. He also cried and laughed a lot, behaving strangely and sometimes poking fun of the people around him...
Icon Dialogue Arrow Sounds like a really funny guy.
Poseman: He sure was. I can still remember him vividly to this day.
Icon Dialogue Arrow Does he still wear a mask?
Poseman: Yes! He wears a mask, one with exquisite craftmanship.
Poseman: He came to the planet where I was matriculating and made the whole team laugh with his skills and anecdotes — to be honest, I had never laughed so hard before.
Poseman: Back then I thought this kind of lifestyle was really cool, carefree and happy... So I found him and begged him to take me traveling with him.
Poseman: But I got the cold shoulder... He said I was too boring. My mind was filled with useless trivia and I'd ruined jokes all the time.
Poseman: Maybe that experience is what inspired my rebellious spirit, and what left me feeling uncomfortable whenever I heard others laugh... Who knows?
Poseman: Later on, I pulled some data at the Intelligentsia Guild only to discover that this kind of person is called a "Masked Fool"... Maybe they'll come up with some different jokes if they ever see Penacony.
Icon Clockwork Angry Angry
Poseman: Why? Why not!?
Poseman: I pulled forty times all up, and not once did a decent prize appear — Not. One. Single. Time.
Poseman: Something must have gone wrong — yeah, the game. Something must be wrong with the game itself!
Poseman: What point is there in a game that doesn't bring joy to its players? Do the designers of these entertainment titles have jam for brains?
(First time)
Poseman: Why isn't my favorite, Starnought Wars, here? Why not make the gameplay more fun? What are you cowards afraid of!?
Poseman: Oh, I understand... I didn't top up enough credit? Then take it! Take it all! It's all just mere worldly possessions. I don't need any of this cash!
Poseman throws all the bills from his pockets into the air — no doubt he only squanders money so crazily when he's in a dream.
(Obtain Credit Credit ×5000)
(Subsequent interactions)
Poseman: The schoolwork I did as a kid was a thousand times more fun than this!
Icon Clockwork Happy Happy
Poseman: *Sob* Life here really is sweeter than syrup!
Poseman: No cursed examinations, no more pulling my hair out writing theses, no more arrogant higher-ups looking down their noses all day long...
Poseman: Sweet dreams — well, this really is the sweetest of dreams! I haven't dreamed anything like this for dozens of years!
Poseman: I heard SoulGlad is putting out a new Rainbow Mustard flavor. I'll have to buy one and give it a try... Oh, I heard the Floatdisc Burger flavor is great too. Gotta try that.
Poseman: Ah... There's just too much to experience! I'd be better off never waking up at all... Never waking at all...
Icon Clockwork Sad Sad
Poseman: *sigh* Gaming... The fun of gaming must always come to an end. In the end, only darkness remains in the universe...
Poseman: People always try to fill their lives with pleasure so they can live life more comfortably, and I am one of them. At first, I thought gaming could maybe help me regain my sense of joy...
Poseman: But it's no use at all!
Poseman: I've lost the capacity to feel joy — I lost it once, and it's never going to come back!
Poseman: In a universe as tragic as this, nobody gets to escape the inevitable conclusion of happiness lost — because everyone has always felt that helpless feeling before! There's never too much when it comes to riches and vacation, and never too few when it comes to troubles and bills.
Poseman: Unless... Yes, children! Children get to play without a care in the world, so long as they're never infected by those things... How many such children are there left out there?
Poseman: Save the children, and save the future of the universe!
Icon Dialogue Arrow Have you ever considered signing up with the Mourning Actors...?
Poseman: That's an idea, but I don't know if they'd ever want to take in anyone as useless as me...
Icon Dialogue Arrow Cheer up a little...
Poseman: Cheer up? I'm afraid nobody will ever be able to cheer up until happiness recaptures the universe...
