Dialogue

Golden Hour

(First interaction)
Ran: Hello.
Ran: I am Ran, a Dreamscape Motivator. Whatever worries you might have, you can tell me all about it.
Ran: I will listen to your thoughts and wishes, and provide you as much help as I possibly can.
Icon Dialogue Arrow What is a Dreamscape Motivator?
Ran: It's a special kind of job unique to Penacony - in layman's terms, our duties are similar to a psychologist's.
Ran: We are committed to "listening" and "guiding" guests to help them expunge any negative emotions that might endanger the stability of their sweet dreams.
Ran: In Penacony, the Dreamweavers are responsible for crafting out the foundations of the Dreamscape and providing guests with a satisfactory entertainment experience. Meanwhile, we Dreamscape Motivators are responsible for maintaining the guests' mental stability, ensuring that the prosperity of the sweet dream can continue to flourish.
Ran: In the Dreamscape, people's emotions are amplified endlessly. Dangerous negative emotions can spread like a plague if left untreated, and cause massive harm.
Ran: Our job is to remove these blights in a timely manner and prevent them spreading between guests.
Ran: So, would you like to consult me about anything?

(If Ran's Emotion is set to Calm)
Ran gazes at you intently, her eyes serene and filled with overtones of encouragement.
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's have a chat.
Icon Dialogue Talk This sounds like hard work.
Ran: Yeah... It really is hard work, but it's also lots of fun.
Ran: That feeling of satisfaction you get when you see someone pick themselves up again because of your help... it's beyond words.
Ran: That's also why I chose to become a Dreamscape Motivator in the first place.
Icon Dialogue Talk What if you run into a problem that you can't handle?
Ran: Indeed, we sometimes encounter some more... extreme clients. They might display overt tendencies for obsession or violence.
Ran: In the realm of reality, these people would be the very personification of danger. But we are in Penacony — The Family will handle things appropriately while ensuring the best interests of us and the guests.
Icon Dialogue Exit That's all for now.
Ran: Alright. I hope you have an enjoyable time in Penacony.
(After completing Adventure Mission Clockwork: Mullich)
Icon Dialogue Talk Are those guards...?
Ran: Ah!? Whew... i—it's you. You freaked me out there. I'm sorry. It's just that I'm a little... anxious right now.
Ran: You might think I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, but that guy Mullich... Well, to be honest, he stalked one of my clients before, and physically threatened them...
Ran: This is why I don't want you to have any further contact with him... But don't worry. The Family has sent additional security. There's no way we're giving him any more chances to hurt someone.
Icon Dialogue Exit That's all. Bye-bye.
Ran: I'm normally on shift here. Come find me anytime you need something.

(If Ran's Emotion is set to Angry)
Ran: In this line of work, we rarely ever complain to anyone...
Icon Dialogue Exit Leave

(If Ran's Emotion is set to Happy)
Miss Ran's calm demeanor fades ever-so-slightly, revealing a glimpse of the lively spirit of a young girl.
Icon Dialogue Exit Leave

(If Ran's Emotion is set to Sad)
Ran's demeanor is still graceful and elegant, but you can clearly see apathy and emptiness behind those eyes.

Icon Clockwork Calm Calm
Ran: No matter what troubles befall you, you can always tell it to me. I will listen to your thoughts and wishes, and provide as much help as I possibly can.
Ran: So, would you like to talk...?
Icon Clockwork Angry Angry
Ran: I... I've had enough! Is it really so hard to take medicine when you're sick? Is it???
Ran: Always playing the victim at the drop of a hat, milking sympathy and attention all over the place... they're positively a swarm of mental lepisma!
Ran: Yes, Motivators should be kind-hearted and solve the guests' concerns... but we're also people! We're not receptacles for emotional trash!
Ran: Those negative emotions float in the air like spores spreading a plague... We have to both pull those sources of contamination out of the fire, while staying vigilant not to be pulled in by them.
Ran: But there are always people... Not only do they refuse to make any effort, they also jabber on complaining about how we aren't responsible or considerate enough...
Ran: These incorrigible filths... they don't even deserve to dream!
Icon Clockwork Happy Happy
Ran: This City of Dreams... it really is a wonderful place! It lets you feel completely free, lets you feel like you're full of... power.
Ran: How should I describe it? Ha... If you want to meddle with or influence someone else in the real world, you have to communicate with them ever so carefully, guiding them over time in imperceptible ways. That would [sic] a long and arduous job.
Ran: But "dreams" magnify and embellish everything! I can more clearly "see," "hear," and "perceive" in here. I can more easily shape and guide those... lost souls.
Ran: Some are too noisy, while some are muddy. Some are hot as flames, while some are cold as ice... But so long as you can find the right method, you can turn them into "idealized styles" and "correct templates"...
Ran: So... who can say no to this? Who can resist this inexplicable... joy?
Ran: People like you can definitely understand this kind of feeling, right?
Icon Clockwork Sad Sad
(First interaction)
Ran: Shh... did you hear that? Someone is crying across the plaza... and someone's laughing. They cry because they still have desires, and they laugh out of ironic satire to their own despondency...
Ran: You can't hear that? Then... do you see that? That person is lilac... This... jealousy... stems from the rose-red and the bright yellow next to them...
Ran: Ah... You can't see these either? Then you are... truly happy.
Ran: Those voices, those colors, and even... I hear and see them every day. Instead of listening or observing from a distance like we are now, they are intense and brilliant as they aggressively approach, almost drowning me like a torrential flood.
Ran: Their souls are spread out before me... ceaselessly pulling at me... I am happy because of their joy, and I dread because of their fear.
Ran: But I'm gradually beginning to feel... confused... like a tiny boat being tossed around on gigantic waves... they are simply too noisy, too blinding... I'm starting to lose any sense of self...
Ran: I'm almost completely lost and disoriented... I can barely find "me" anymore. I don't want to dream anymore...
(First time only)
Ran: ...Syrup, where's my syrup? Ha... Haha... Do you need syrup?
Ran: Quick — drink up! What are you waiting for? Drink up quick!
(Obtain Dream Syrup Dream Syrup ×1)

The Reverie (Dreamscape)

(First interaction)
Ran: A magical drink that soothes the soul. It'd be wonderful if it could spread far and wide in the Dreamscape.
Ran: However... if all the negative emotions could be easily erased like this, who would need a Dreamscape Motivator like me anymore?
Icon Dialogue Arrow (Chat)
Ran: Greetings, do you need counseling? It's quiet here, perfect for an in-depth conversation.
Icon Dialogue Arrow I'd like to hear your thoughts on emotions.
Ran: Emotions are fascinating. They have no tangible form and can't be clearly observed. They are certain states of being alive, and they can be both real and illusory. They can be consciously created, altered, or even eliminated.
Ran: However, for the Sweet Dream Troupe, their emotions determine their very nature. There lives stem from the Dreamscape, and they won't fall ill or age. However, their essence can change dramatically due to shifts in emotions.
Ran: It's incredible, isn't it? That's why I became curious after hearing the story of this lounge.
Ran: ...I wonder, what powers have been protecting the monsters from being completely corrupted by the Nightmare?
Icon Dialogue Arrow I want to know what you think about me.
Ran: ...You? B—But I... I'm a Dreamscape Motivator, and you're my client. Such a relationship... would be far too dangerous.
Ran: No, no, no, even though my duty is to help you alleviate your worries, it doesn't mean...
Ran: *gasp* ...I'm sorry. I may have misunderstood you. To be honest, I think you're an exceptional counselor. The emotional issues of the Dreamjolt Troupe members are not easily resolved, but you've handled them impressively.
Icon Dialogue Arrow No, you didn't misunderstand.
Ran: Huh!?... I... I'm sorry! I need to take some time away to calm down my emotions!
Icon Dialogue Arrow You can also ask me for counseling
Ran: Haha, I admit that I may have some emotional issues too, but it's not to the extent that I need to bother others. I'll just try one of your drinks.

(Subsequent interactions)
You attempt to engage in conversation with the customer before you, but they seem immersed in the leisurely ambiance of the lounge, oblivious to your presence.
