Rolan: Wow... Dreamflux Fortress is truly wonderful! This atmosphere, this lighting... It is all material! I have not felt my thoughts rush like this in some time. It feels amazing!

Rolan: It's just a shame that everyone I met along the way was so normal... If only I could have encountered a few more memetic monsters...

Rolan: Oh, me? I'm just a small-time manga artist... I draw horror and supernatural-themed manga for my own entertainment.

Rolan: This kind of stuff is not in high demand, so I don't have many readers. Although, friends who gather around my work all share a common topic.... We've all become very close.

Rolan: There is nothing wrong with this... I'm quite satisfied, at least. After all, "the wider the net you cast, the more fish you catch..." I'm not great at dealing with complex social interactions. I just want to create, and avoid trouble as much as possible.

What works have you made?

Rolan: Normally I just draw works and themes that I enjoy myself. A puppet that comes to life at night, ink that transforms into demons... Things like that.

Rolan: Memetic monsters are also a source of inspiration for me. I've been looking into an urban legend about "Death"... That search brought me stumbling here.

Rolan: Fortunately, this has worked out wonderfully! I can feel inspiration flooding my mind endlessly... I have a feeling that a masterpiece that will shake the artistic world is soon to be born from my pen!

Rolan: Speaking of, there's something quite funny and frustrating: The most valuable thing I gained from these few days in the Dreamflux Reef was not "inspiration" at all, but "peace."

Rolan: Before, when I would gather materials in the dream, you could say I was just banging my head into a brick wall. I'd politely ask these dream-obsessed, upstanding, moral people for advice, but they couldn't give me a straight answer. What's more, they'd go on a tirade about how I didn't understand the rules of the dream.

Rolan: Then, they'd talk in circles and attempt to teach me the manners of high society. After I understood that combo and tried to dig for more creative inspiration from them, I realized that this was all they had to show for their entire lives.

Rolan: Ah, this dream... Everyone must adorn themselves in the finest wear and follow these strange rules, or they're seen as uncultured and unrefined.

Rolan: But, I just want to do something I enjoy. Why do I need these things? It was simply torturous...

Rolan: After spending all that time in the Golden Hour, even the trashcans of the Dreamflux Reef start to look beautiful... No, I'm being serious.

Rolan: Did you know? When I first got here, I saw a restaurant right next to a waste collection station... It gave me the shivers...; Rolan: But, I gradually grew accustomed to all this... At least now I can sit on the roadside without making faces, and talk with people while eating.; Rolan: And if I'm honest, the food in the restaurant didn't look great, but it didn't taste bad at all. Though the living conditions in the Dreamflux Reef may be nothing to write home about, the atmosphere is actually very comfortable.; Rolan: Come to think of it, I saw some small souvenirs in a street-side store a while ago.
